Tip Top Tier Drop

I'm not much for small talk, but I suppose it's time to update this thread even though there is not much to add. I had to replace some rotting wood, stuff I did not adequately paint in my frustration with the rebuild after the accident in 2014. And one of the original HF tires delaminated causing some damage. I finally learned to cover the trailer during storage to avoid sun damage - it's a lot easier to throw away a cover once a year then to resurface the roof. I like the vinyl on the lower tier sides so much, I covered the the front of the top with it. It wouldn't be hard to cover the rear panels, but I don't see an easy path to adding vinyl to the sides of the top because of it's external frame.

The Pisa edition was intended only to provide camping while building the next trailer, and pondering what to build next has been a never ending dilemma. Bypass surgery put me out of action for over a year and, like the demise of the original trailer, caused me to question priorities. The current design meets our needs really well given that we tow with a 4 cylinder vehicle. Records show we spent a total of 128 nights in it over the years without any major complaints. Over the 5 longest trips (5K+ miles each) we averaged from 26.1 to 27.0 mpg. Correcting for miles driven without the trailer, we still get 26+ mpg while towing. So at this point I have no firm plan to build anything substantially different.
