We will be in Townsend, TN, in mid-May for a recumbent bike rally. We've been to Townsend several times before but never camped there. Can anyone recommend a good campground? Restrooms with hot showers are a must. Sites with electric & water would be great but not required. We might be bringing the dogs with us. Mostly we want quiet, laid back camping where you want to hang out in the great outdoors.
Staying in the park, near Cades Cove, would be good but it looks like we can't reserve a site there. Am willing to take a chance on that since we'd be arriving late Thurs night, but it might be a good idea to have a contingency plan.
