Is there a place online to go to learn how to build a teardrop? One that shows how to do everything? With videos and tutorials and tips?

Really, I found that using the Google search exposed threads on all sorts of building topics, along with posts describing folks' practical experiences.

Let me explain further. I build training courses for companies. I have found plans and of course this forum. But a real interactive how to is needed. Well at least I'd like to see one.

When I started my first trailer, I had only seen one other teardrop. After I gotten started we went up north and tent camped with about 20 teardrops.
Seeing a video if you do not have strong wood working skills or experience can put you in right direction. We will all ad our spin on our teardrop builds.

My first was very basic. no galley the doors were sheets of plywood with padlocks on the out side. no batterys, and it took me 5 years to build it. The first trailer I built "help" was in the next town I thought. But one goes to my church, I found him after my first build was finished. John is on the road most of the time camping in his trailer. I did have Steve come from another town to put up my walls. There is a teardropper up one street but he bought his. I did visit Dave in M.B. who had advice from a retired teardrop manufacturer MacTears. But my build was a one man show.

It was not until I had gone camping with over 250 different teardrops from 2007 on... that I could start the one am building now. I thought I could build the new one in 3 months but I am now on my 2nd year.

For those who do not have exposure .... a hands on a video would help put us in the right direction.

I am going to have 2 batteries in mine and I have gotten most of the wires done, But a video of how the batteries work with chargers and in parallel. how they are charged from the wall and from a solar panel. Visual is very important.

So yes there are videos showing a teardrop or 2 being made. Timelaps and some do help

As others have said, everyone has different ideas and designs requirements. In all my planning no one person's solution is what I want. Nor has any one come up with solutions to all the obvious issues. Coming up with a working design, figuring out how to address various concerns is a major part of wanting to build one. Otherwise, just buy one. To some extent, the journey is half of the fun.

Personally, I had a blast combing through all the various builds. I came up with my own twist on things, and in the end had the teardrop that was PERFECT for me.

Being a hands on person, I got experience building by building a small boat using the same techniques and material before jumping into a much larger and more expensive tear.
I did this for my plywood tear and my foamie.

Just jump in and do it mate, I did and it turned out pretty good.. not perfect but better than the tent I used prior to having my TD
