What is stock spring weight rating for 5 x 8 NT trailer kit?

I have an NT UltraTow aluminum 5 x 8 kit as base for my travel trailer. Purchased in 2021.
Even with my TTT fully loaded, the trailer is still too stiffly sprung.
Exploring the most simple fix I can think of, replacing the slipper springs with softer ones of same size. However, I’m having trouble finding specifications of the springs I am starting with.
I can make an educated guess but would like actual specs if anyone has them.

Thank you

the gross weight is as you probably know 2000 pounds. Do you know how much your trailer weighs? That would probably tell you all you need to know to select other springs.

I have the steel version. Iirc, the springs are a non-standard width. If you replace them you may have to replace the hanger and slipper foot part as well as the clamps and bolts that attach the axle to them. Just beware.

Wow!! Thank you for the heads up.

Doing more research, I'll post anything useful I find out.

GVWR - 1980lb
Payload cap. - 1715lb

It is possible to de-rate leaf springs by removing a leaf. In photos I see of those trailers it looks like there are 3 leaves. Maybe try removing the smallest one at the bottom of each and see how it rides? It is typically held together with a single bolt/nut once the shackles/bracket are removed.

I don't think there is a specific safety concern in doing this. I have seen low rating springs with only two leaves that don't have the short leaf.. such as this one: 24 inch 2 Leaf Slipper Spring 500lb Capacity-24024
