Walk the winds 2019..7th year! Plan on July folks!

Still planning on showing up.
For the potluck it is Potato salad
See you in 4 weeks if all goes as planned. 8) :D

Looks like almost a full moon, so we'll be able to see the cowbears with NO problem at all.

Still looking good for me. I've actually hired help at the shop this year so for the first time in many, many years I can make plans to leave and really pull it off. Hope to make a dump cake in the cast iron and hand cranked ice cream for Saturday.

Slow, I vote for you to bring Mom, we could use some adult supervision  Weather is supposed to start warming up next week :worship: Here on Casper Mountain we still have plenty of the white stuff in the shady areas. 8) I'm still trying to talk Lisa in to coming :worship:

See you all in a few weeks!

I've started gettin things ready to go. Plan to leave Greenleaf, ID early on the 11th. I'd like to be ahead of there Boise commute. It's an 8 hour drive for me so if I get out of here by 6 AM with a few stops I should be able to make it by dinner. Really looking forward to some good mountain air.

Taking the long scenic way in this year, so Farson is on my list to hit on the way to "Walk the Winds" :applause:

I sure hope that the ice cream in Farson is as good as Blue Bell.

Just a reminder... we have the group camp reserved starting on Wednesday, in case you just can't wait. :D

Are you bringing a telescope too, Brad?
No, I don't have "that" telescope anymore. But I do have a nice pair of stargazing binocs.

See y'all, real soon!

I don't know anything about Farson Ice Cream but Fisher's Walk The Winds Alpine Snow should be pretty fantastic on top of a bowl of cherry-pineapple dump cake.

You make it sound like so much work, Slow. The last three outings for me I went to the deli, bought a few days worth of salads and sandwiches and stuffed um into an ice chest. Left Coleman at home and called it good.

But Cliff is coming with me for this one and he likes to cook so I'm sure Coleman and Dutch will be along for the trip. And the White Mountain will surely tag along. Gotta have ice cream for the dump cake, ya know.

I'm looking forward to a great event. Nice and laid back.

So I just want to confirm that this is at the new fork lakes campground

Just to avoid confusion, there is a New Forks Lake Camp Ground, and a New Forks Lake Group Campsite. They are across the main road from each other and there is a sign saying group site. The group site will be on the left, and use to be right near the big dumpsters.

I keep seeing these notifications and have a bad itch to make this happen after all...

Is there a group site? if so is there room for another teardrop? what would I be looking at fees wise? I know super late notice, wasn't expecting to be able to and probably shouldn't but I might be able to make it happen and the wanderlust is strong this week.

Paul,

I can only answer a couple of your questions.
Yes, its a group site, with plenty of room for one more rig.
Cost, I don't know. Part of it depend on how many rigs split the fee for the campground.
If past years is an indicator, it will be around $20, give or take a few.
Maybe we will see you this weekend.
