OK campers, if you have ever attended the WTW, or ever wanted to, it is on again this year.

What? Walk the Winds 2018
When? Friday July 20 thru Monday July 23
Where? New Fork Lake group campground,
Bridger-Teton National Forest
Just 24 miles from Pinedale, Wy.
Why? Because it will be a good time for ALL!!
How? Just let us know you are coming and show up.
Cost? Still only $115 for the entire group for the weekend. A real bargain!
Who? Hosted by Sagebrush and Slow Cowboy

The area is quite large, 35 campers they say, but we can fit in more TTT if needed.
The site has pit toilets, firepits and tables.
Lots of firewood on site so don't buy or bring any.

No water in campground but water is available in Pinedale at the Ranger Station.
29 East Fremont Lake Rd.

Showers are available in Pinedale at the aquatic center.
535 N. Tyler Ave. 5am to 8pm

Grocery stores, gas, ice etc available in town also.

Directions from Pinedale WY

US 191 north for 6 miles.
Turn right onto WY 352 toward row of Cora.
WY 352 for 14 1/2 miles (past Cora turnoff)
Bear right onto New Fork Lake Rd. (County Rd 162)
This becomes Forest Service Rd 370730 upon entering Bridger-Teton Natonal Forest.
FS 370730 for about 1 mile, go past road on right, past large bearproof dumpster on left.
Take next left to group area, just over the hill.
You all come!

I have been to this gathering twice in the past. It is located in a beautiful area of Wyoming, just a couple hours south of Jackson Hole, The Tetons and Yellowstone. If you are planing a trip, put this gathering on your itinerary. The lake is just across the road, so if you are a fisherman or have a Kayak , bring it along. Slow Cowboy (Mike) and Sagebrush (Will) are first class hosts , so don't miss out.

:)

As of February 7 we have
Slow Cowboy (Mike)
Sagebrush (Will and Lisa)
Lee and Norma
WyoGriff. (Laura)
Looking forward to meeting new friends and seeing old friends.

:D Y'ALL COME!!!! :D

You all come!

I'm curious. Why go to the ranger station for water? You have the Green River right there. The water purifies nicely, and has these cool very tiny shrimp in it that turn bright red when you boil it.

Some people don't like to think of what fishes do in the river water  Come on up and you can boil all the shrimp water you want!

I'm thinking hard about it. I was last in that campground in 1998, having backpacked from Fremont Lake. It's time for a 20 year trip.

I have been trying to get to Walk the Winds for the past three years, and I do believe that 2018 is the time. Please
put Laura Griffith, Cheyenne WY down on the list. Thanks! :D

I'm trying to get my vacation plans in place to join y'all.

Hello TD friends, I'm wondering how to financially support the 2018 Walk the Winds? Can I send in a donation to someone? 4 degrees today in Cheyenne,
so ready for some springtime warmth. Maybe by July 20th??

Come July, all the campers chip in to reimburse the person who reserved the campground.

See you in July 8)

Sparksalot Hope you can get the vacation thing worked , look forward to meeting you at Walk the Winds. Lee and Norma

The last piece fell into place this morning. It''l be fun to be back in the Winds.

Me at 12,000 ft very near Mt Chauvenet close to Lander in 1997. For the non-Wyoming folks, the little ridge behind me in the Continental Divide.
