Want a slightly bigger teardrop? HF 5x10 trailers!

Looks like this trailer is on clearance and on the way out, so I'm looking at maybe picking one up sooner rather than later. I have a few potential concerns with it based on what I've read so far. It has 13 inch wheels and I've seen 14 or 15 inch recommended for a teardrop, and it also looks like the axle is about 57% of the way back on the frame, as opposed to the generally recommended 60/40. Anyone running into those as issues? Or can the trailer probably just be modified to mitigate those?

I'm building on this frame. I haven't started any assembly on the actual trailer yet, but I don't expect either to be a significant issue.

In terms of the tires, they are highway rated to 70mph and seem like they will be a fine option.

The axle is a bit far forward, as with most utility trailers. I plan to address this with how a load the trailer. My understanding is the 60/40 is mostly about weight distribution, so if needed things like the heavy cooler will just get loaded in the cabin rather than in the galley.

Good to hear. My other concern with the base setup is lack of electric brakes, which aren't really required at this weight but would be a nice to have anyway. But I suppose that sort of upgrade can potentially be added later on. The only thing I think really has to be upgraded is the wiring, since a 7-pin setup to allow for charging the trailer's battery while driving seems pretty standard (and does also allow for those electric brakes later if desired). Do you have any plans to do that?

I'm hoping to avoid need for trailer brakes. My TV is rated up to 1600# without brakes and 2000# with them. I should be right at 1000# dry weight based on my estimates. I'm also not planning to charge from the TV, so just keeping the 4 pin connector.
