I had my 7 PRC out the other day, banging away with my new suppressor at 400 yards and shot a 3.8 MOA group off a tripod. My body doesn't like shooting prone off a bipod.

I feel your pain. My body doesn't like shooting prone off a bipod either. Unfortunately, that's the SSRs (standard shooting rules) of the South Australian Rifle Association. I was unhappy with my 800 and 900 metres scores. I've done better at 900 yards on my home range. I really struggled with eye relief on the scope. On Monday I moved the scope forward 10mm and spaced the recoil pad 6mm. Laying on my living room floor, it's much easier to get a full picture in the eye piece, and I had to refocus the reticle. We have a 300 metre shoot on Saturday morning which I will shoot from the bench to get a good zero, then a 600 yard competition in the afternoon which I will shoot prone. It's a darn good thing I'm set up for reloading. 70 rounds used last weekend, 46 required next weekend. It would cost close to $300 with over the counter ammo.
Were you happy with 3.8 moa? That's a 16 inch circle at 400 yards, give or take.
How did the suppressor go? Was the noise reduction satisfactory? I've always wondered what effect suppressors have on group size and recoil, too.

Oooops. It was a 3.8" group, or 9.6 centimeters. That just shows you how dumb I can be.
But yeah, I'm happy. If I could make my heart stop beating, I'm sure I could do better.
The noise reduction is incredible. I still shoot with muffs, but I really don't have to. It's making about a 136 DB, and I think anything under 140 is safe.

That's bloody good shooting mate. It certainly seems to indicate the suppressor isn't having a bad influence. It is annoying watching the cross hairs tick with every beat, isn't it? The guys at my club tell the story of an old guy, long passed, who used to shoot exceptionally well if he'd had a big night on the booze. Something about his heart was darned near stalled...Oooops. It doesn't seem to be, but it did change my point of impact a bit. About an MOA horizontally and vertically. I adjusted my load down one-tenth of a grain of H1000, and this is what she's doing at a hundred yards.

That's pretty good, my personal outdoor range is limited to 75 yards but I can consistently hit an 8" plate with iron sites at that distance with a 60 year old Savage .22 bolt action (the only gun I own our daughter will shoot). I'm just a casual shooter but I like to play. Optics are a cheat code only us modern folk can enjoyIt doesn't seem to be, but it did change my point of impact a bit. This will be boring but I did a stress test of my electrical system today. Ran the inverter and put a 55A load on it for 90 minutes, monitoring voltage and Temps along the way. Everything checked out well, we're good to go for another year from that perspective. Inverter gets a little warm at that load but that's an absurd real world load for us.

Spent the day getting ready for another multi-week trip. First one in more than a year!
The main goal is to visit my brother and Mom (who is in a nursing home) in Upstate NY. For several months we had a route planned that took us through northern Texas, into Oklahoma, and up through Missouri. Then Sunday night I looked at the forecast. The teardrop has AC, but the Corgi is supposed to sleep in the truck.
So, we spent Monday morning changing reservations to head North through Colorado, Nebraska, and South Dakota. The highs there are supposed to be in the low 80's which beats triple digits. I suspect the three of us may still share a bed until we get to Minnesota. At least two of us snore.
I'll start a folder for anyone interested.

I love optics. Couldn't afford anything more than a beat up old 4X Nikko Stirling when I was a kid. Thanks, T&S! We are near (very near) the Elkhorn Mts in NE Oregon. The first front that came through dropped a good amount of rain, with a second one that produced distant thunder, but we didn’t see nearby lightning. Conditions persist until 7:00 pm, so fingers remain crossed.
