While I usually refer to it as the "Little Trailer", I call it the "Tomabago", there have been several vehicles with that name. The first was a ford van that i modified to have a bed in the back. It was called that by a friend that I camped with often, after that I got a older class A motorhome ( it was probably 20 years old when I got it), then after the engine blew up, a class C. No the TD gets the honor.

Oh that's easy I just used everyone's name in my family:

J: James
A: Ashley
C: Caverly
K: third is on the way but will be, Kennedy
A: Amelia
L: Liam

My wife is from China......
Years ago when I was building our teardrop, I asked her how she would say "teardrop" in Chinese. I can't really accurately write it here, but it was very easy to Americanize it and the name became....

YanLady

After a few years of building our teardrop it will have two names High Country as my first post in this thread. Plus it will be named after the Johnny Cash song One Piece at a Time. Since I've incorporated item's brought home from work and it's also getting built one piece at a time. I've been building for a few years now. I get one piece done and how I want it and run out of work time.

HAPPY is the name of my build.
Happy is as happy does. I love happy because it is the essence of attitude. Attitude is everything. :D

I've only had my sweet baby for a few days but I'm toying with "Jupiter II", "SS Minnow" or flat out "Johnny Quest".

(I'm a child of the sixties. Clearly!)

Last name is Schmidt. So of course we are german and named it "Das Schmidt Haus". And it means " The Schmidt House". This fun little homebuilt will be our second home...hence the name.

Well, I had an epiphany recently and thought of what I think is a great name for mine. I am doing the entire interior in tongue & groove 5/16" thick knotty cedar and I have been gathering sticks of wood that beavers have chewed the bark off and sharpened to a crude point from a dam near my house (mostly green poplar). I am going to incorporate several unique pieces of it as well.
So the name I came up with is:

"CEDAR-BEAVER"

Maybe I've just been a dirty-minded factory worker too long, but I think it's funny! ;)

I don't ever refer to it by "name" but named by build thread http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=69583 "Photophobic Retreat" because a big factor in deciding to build it was that I can't stay in most hotels anymore (especially any reasonable rate roadside stops) due to the florescent lighting and this was the best way I could come up with to still be able to explore more than a couple hours drive away from home at a time.

Our trailer is named "Abeona"

Abeona is the Roman goddess of journeys which seemed fitting. Normally I use greek gods/goddesses for my naming scheme (my car is Andromeda, my home automation system is Hestia, my computer server is Hermes, etc) but the similar greek god is Hermes who's name is already taken in my naming scheme, and our trailer is very much a "she" not a "he" anyway.

Actually, my wife named her...

Long story short: Retired end of 2019 and planned a push effort to have the tear ready for a cross-country trip this summer. Then COVID-19 which meant 1. A trip across multiple states seemed out of the question for this summer, and B. Taking time to finish the tear seemed like a good way to alleviate boredom while avoiding outings among our fellow germ infested citizens. :frightened:

Name: Cabin fever

PS--Shelly just mentioned a key point is that we actually live in a cabin

.

Because I know I've bit off more than I can chew and overestimated my ability, but I'm going to bumble my way through the brick walls, anyway.
If life ever let's me get back to it, that is. Couldn't buy steel for 4 months. Now I can't get plywood. Oh, well. Plenty of time to work on design refinement.

We are seriously considering the name "Rona" or "Rona Therapy". I might not have gotten the build project off the ground if it wasn't for all the spare time presented by corona virus. We'll see.

* I know the feeling...that DK effect, when added to my overconfidence in my planning ability, led/leads me to prolonged trial and error instances, until finally a project comes together. Sometimes.

We named ours Bilbo. When we got our car a few years ago, we immediately named it Gandalf because it was old, grey, and had travelled hundreds of thousands of miles. So when we got a little, wee trailer that was going to be pulled around by Gandalf on adventures, it obviously had to be named Bilbo.

We're also nerds :SG
