Searched the forum and can't find much on this - I am thinking of doing fiberglass and then coating with raptor liner afterwards for my upcoming build. I don't own an air compressor but plan on getting one so I can use nail guns and other small uses, on the raptor liner website they are saying a 6hp with 150psi capabilities to coat... I cannot see needing a 6hp compressor, but I figured you guys might have better knowledge!

So - all that being said, what size, PSI and hp air compressor did you guys use on your builds? Was it enough?

Thanks!

My new compressor is a Dewalt 3.7 hp with a 50 gallon tank.
It has 155 max psi with 11.5 SCFM single stage.
I bought it at Tractor Supply for $700 plus tax.
It seems fine compared with the Ingersoll Rand 5 hp 50 Gallon tank with 12.5 CFM @ 90 PSIG I had for 34 years.
Replacement parts don't exist. I bought the last head gaskets several years ago.
It ran on 20 amps 220 but a 5 hp Dewalt recommends a 30 amp circuit.
I didn't want to run new wiring.
Not sure if a single stage will work for your application.
A 2 stage basically runs constantly from what I've been told.
I'm a retired Cabinetmaker and the new 3.7 compressor runs nail guns including my framing nail gun and my wide belt overhead sander.
Good luck, :D Danny

My 5 HP sp runs on 15 Amp A electrician called BS till it was in his hand
Had to change the capacitor one time, had a motor in the mail, while waiting.
11.2 CFM
I Sprayed Monstaliner No problem, I run that thing Hard using a Plazma table.
6HP NA
