Again, I must say I'm impressed and I thank you for the double up offer. I guess I didn't have faith....we've made arrangements at another campground. I f it's still okay we would love to come on Saturday to meet you all and look at your teardrops. We'll make sure it's after lunch so we can meet as many of you as possible.

Boy, you go away for three days camping in Ohio without internet and come back to a LOT of things going on.

First of all, Bob Henry....great job on being the "mouthpiece" for the group.

Next, aren't you on site # 208 not #108? Just wondering since that is where you are listed on the map from Scott. Or are you in a secret area we know nothing about? Kidding.

See you this weekend. Can't wait for the gathering.

Dave and Barb

3 days to go - Who's bring what to the Pot Luck?

Kurt - slow cooked roast, potatoes, onions
Rick & Leona - Brats and Cheese Grillers
Bob & Vickie - Stew-Chili-or whatever
Dave & Barb - broccoli/cauliflower/lettuce and etc salad plus some kind of dessert
Jim & Sharon - vegetable salad or fresh veggies plus a fresh fruit salad
Tom L - veggie salad and pineapple upside down cake
Jeff#2 - Ribs
Dan & Laura - an un-named dessert
Tom & Diane - cowboy beans
Joe & Anita - dessert
Scott & Amy - pulled pork BBQ plus dessert
Paul & Nancy - Chicken Wings

Option for those who are too full from going to Triple XXX. - just come and enjoy the desserts.

So far the agenda is very relaxed:

Thursday- meet other campers (if you arrive on Thursday)

Friday - Lunch at Triple XXX (optional)

Friday night (5:00pm) - Wine and Cheese party
This is a great way to meet and get to know everyone and share some stories , etc.

Saturday - Lunch at Triple XXX (optional)

Saturday (6:00pm) - Pitch in dinner

Saturday night Movie (when it's dark enough)

Sunday - no group breakfast planned. Small groups may organize a breakfast over the weekend.

What a "wild and wind-blown " weekend.

Got home about 1:30pm.

We had a great turnout and, once again, met several new teardroppers.

The article in the local newspaper drew in several local campers as well as others who just came for the curiousity.

The wind was the biggest obstacle we all had. With gust up to 35mph, it was a real challenge to set up canopies and keep things on the ground. :x

Dale & Flo's trip with the Goldwing and teardrop must have been a real battle to keep it going in the right direction.

The temperature ranged from 94F (Thursday) to the mid 60's (Saturday) but the major rains held off (during the day) and we had cool but pretty good weather in general.

Hope everyone gets home OK and as we always look forward to the next gathering.

Picture to follow soon.

I just had to take a few minutes this morning to thank Bob Scott [email protected] for his wonderful article again and let him know the power of the press. I know the park must have had 75 - 100 cars drive thru the park "just to see the little trailers" I know we all answered questions from curious civilians. Vickie & I love it and have a ball showing off the features of our toy trailer.

And a second e-mail was sent to Skyler Hill park assistant manager at Prophetstown [email protected] to thank him for all the kindness and help he provided to help orchestrate this gathering and to compliment him on his fine park and wonderful staff. For those of you who were there but didn't hear... they were letting the folks in the gate for free that "Just wanted to see the little trailers". Such a deal !!!

Hope everyone had as much fun as we did !
