Update: It will be just me and the two little ones. Vickie has a convention that weekend and will have the two bigger boys. Hopefully no asthma problems this year.

Sorry to hear the whole gang isn't going to be there. None the less, I'm sure a good time will be had by all.

I took time today to contact Bob Scott of the Lafayette Journal and Courier and Bob Cox of the Crawfordsville Journal Review in hopes of getting some newspaper coverage of our spring event. I baited the e mail with pictures of little cars with little trailers....

Here is the letter.....

The tiny trailers are coming , The tiny trailers are coming…..

I would like to invite your news staff to visit the Indiana Tearjerkers on their May gathering of teardrops and other tiny trailers. We are once again scheduled to meet May 16th thru the 18th at Turkey Run State Park for yet another fun filled weekend of camping.

We are on course to have almost four dozen tiny trailers and a bit over 100 folks.

We made TV in Bloomington 2 years ago and had a great deal of local interest in this green and rather inexpensive hobby of building and enjoying our tiny trailers. We have appeared on Across Indiana and have graced the pages of the Bloomington Herald and the Indianapolis star. In light of the advance notice in the media we have had the locals driving thru the parks just wanting to see the tiny trailers.

I feel your readers will find this event interesting and hope you do as well. If you would like to feature us in your paper I would suggest a Saturday visit and feel free to join us at 6 pm for a huge pitch in dinner.

Should you have any questions please feel free to call.

Thanks...looks really neat. We will try our best to cover it. Would it be worthy of a story before you come so people would know you are there?

Bob, once again you have done your duty. Great job. Hopefully we will get some coverage and be "famous" again.

Thanks.

Some one told me recently that I was getting "soft" and needed a bigger trailer. OK, I'll go along with that. It's more of a change of pace for me. I still intend to use the teardrop when I pull it with the Mustang. )this one is way too heavy for the bumper on the old car.

Keeping both trailers brings up some household questions such as "why do you need two trailers? The answer..."so I can have twice as much fun", of course. I sure hope my "Mother-in-law" doesn't kick me out of her garage. That's where the teardrop is being stored when not in use.

We'll have to see what happens there. For now it's working out very well.

Kurt, you're not getting soft!!! I think the Whetzeldorf #4 is pretty neat!! I saw the Sunshine Inn, and it's great, too. Two ways to camp--nothing wrong with that. You have fun. See you next month.

Kurt, Whetzledorf #1 will be at Turkey Run also, site 51. It has had a bad winter...Tues. night before Christmas, a drunk driver lost it on the turn and wound up hitting my camper and car! The car has been repaired, but I still need to see Dan on an estimate for the camper. I didn't want to take it out with the weather we've been having all winter.
