I didn't know anything was going on with Kurt till now. I just called him and he sounds good. His surgery went well and he is hoping to be out of the hospital on Wednesday. We will miss him in May but thankfully he'll recover and be with us later on. In the meantime he'll have driving and lifting restrictions that will keep him at home.

Rose and I just got back from seeing Kurt in the hospital. He said it's good to give you all a detailed update.
He had quad coronary bypass surgery on Friday afternoon. He is doing fine now, better than I was at this point following my surgery. He is at St. Vincent Heart Center, 106th & US 31, Indy, room 211. He is expected to be released Thursday. Then comes 6-8 weeks of recovery/rehab.
He will definitely miss the Versailles outing, but fully expects to be at McCormick's Creek in July.

Thanks Dan, Kim and John.

Well, I just got back home (today -Wednedsay). Now comes the "recovery".

I had a quad "bypass" surgery last Friday So I won't even be able to drive by the time gathering.

Everything a so sore right now. I'll and have to adjust to new sleeping, excercise and smells of foods.

I thought the hospital food really "sucked" but I think it might just be me.

Food at home has a differnt and smell different taste also.

If someone could fill my campsite for Versailles (Wed,thru Saturday) just send me the money. (I'll need it")

Scott's right, the gatherings usually go pretty smooth and I'm sure you will all have a great time.

If there are questions, let us know.

Right now, in gerneral, I feel like "crap but in a good way". I guess that would be "Lucky to feel like "crap".

Thanks for all the well wishes and visitors. I'ts good to talk to people with experience.

I'm putting together a single order for banners if anyone would like one just let me know and I'll get the order turned in the first of the week to Todd and have them all shipped to me and then deliver them at the gathering.

Logo (Chapter or just the Tearjerker Logo) and a couple lines under it, most put there names and city location

Let me know soon and I'll put the order in. :D
Banners are $17.25 after shipping

NEW INDIANA DNR RULES ON CARRY IN FIREWOOD

For an e mail I received today

Firewood: Bring it Debarked, Buy it Stamped and Burn it All
To help conserve the forest resources on DNR properties, we have developed a new firewood policy that requires you to remove the bark from any firewood that you bring from home. You can also purchase firewood bearing a state or federal compliance stamp, or bring scrap kiln-dried construction lumber. The emerald ash borer has now invaded at least five of our state parks and reservoirs, and is likely to be found in more. All of those infestations have come through firewood that carried EAB. Our goal with this policy is to work to keep out the NEXT bad bug before it reaches us

I can arrange for free pick up loads of construction lumber cut offs for anyone close to Frankfort IN 765-538-2580

Bob, now you're teasing me.

Actually, I can eat meatloaf on my new diet as long as it's lean meat and not greasy.

Yours look pretty darned good.

That is one "Monster Meatloaf"
