Welcome Dianne. So glad you can make it. If you and Dennis get a site just let us know so that we can have a list of who is where when we walk around on our trailer inspections.

Site #
4 Sue and Carol (flygal6)
6 Gary and Cheri also Finnegan
7 Pat and Mark (Tearhead)
8 Kathy (Happy Phantom)
9 Mike (Route66)
10 Steve (Woodbutcher)
11 Glenn and Opal
12 Tom and Char
13 Doug and Nan (Pigcooker)
14 Russ (Tom’s Brother) and Pat
15 Kevon and Annette (Outtahand)
17 Tom (Ptomaine)
19 BrwBier
22 Grant & Diane (gdpipkorn)
? Dennis and Cheryl (DWE)
? Dianne ( cs whypt2)

Looking at last year's thread 12 trailers were confirmed with two additional possible. We now have 14 with confirmed sites and two more who have indicated a desire and some of the regulars, like Dawn and Duke, who have not been heard from but often show up for the fun. :applause: This is going to be a good one.

To paraphrase Donald Sutherland in "Kelly's Heros" (which in college I took my future wife to see, took her back to her dorm, and immediately went back by myself to see a second time) Moriarty, enough with the negative thoughts, it's going to be a great big beautiful day.

Just a reminder to all who are already signed up that Pat has started a thread for what food each of us is thinking of bringing to share on Saturday. You don't have to be real specific we just would prefer a variety of food vs everyone bringing the same thing. Having said that, my Revolutionary War re-enactment group once had a unplanned gathering and everyone brought dessert. It was awsome! Here is a link to Pat's thread.

Also for anyone who has not signed up yet or needs a camp site, here is a link to the park's reservation site.

There are still 15 sites available in the loop which we are occupying, and 3 are sites that we have traditionally been used by our group. The remainder are a little father away but still have easy access to our group.

i took our son on his first camping trip this past weekend. we went to a nearby campground and only stayed for one night, but it went very well. we threw lots of rocks into the lake, saw a bunch of geese, cooked hot dogs over the fire, and even picked up a turtle! i was mostly concerned about his ability to sleep in the trailer, but he had no difficulty sleeping through the night...there was even a short storm that blew through.

hopefully we'll be able to pull off the drive and make it to the Cooler.

Wait until your son sees the dunes at "Cooler". We also have board walks thru a marsh, wild turkeys and deer running around the camp sites (not to mention a great lake).

Glad to hear the camping went great. You can never start to early with kids and camping. My two girls have been all over the United States usually in a tent. Now that they are in their twenty's they still love a good hike followed by a meal made over a fire and ending the day surrounded by nylon.

Watch the campground reservations site as it will fill up in the area we are in.

That's mean!
Okay, so Luke and I purchased a new home and we will be moving some times throughout April. I do not think we can make it, due to that being out only weekend off. I will tell you guys how it goes as things progress.

Just a reminder for those of you that have not had a chance to visit Pat's thread on food for our gathering to try to get over there and check it out. Cooler by the Lake is coming up real fast. I for one can't wait.

Ahhhhhh! We were so looking forward to meeting you.

I would try PMing dwe (Dennis) and seeing if he had a site yet and if he might be interested in yours. Also Dawn Zollinger or Duke have often come and I was hoping to hear something positive from them. Try to find a post by them and PM either. You will know you have the right people if you have a Duke from Green Bay or a Zollinger from Sheboygan(?).

Again hope you find out you can come before you get rid of your site.

Sorry you can't make it Kathy. Try to join us again, it's a long season.

This outing is only 3 weeks away. It sure crept up on me. On the way home today I thought, I better get my trailer out and start loading it for Cooler. Then I realized I had not said what I was cooking. So I did that too. Hope to see ya'll in warm sunny Sheboygan soon!
