Well the wood is loaded now it's off to the grocery for the goodies and head home and start loading up.

Should arrive Friday noonish. The weatherman is not painting a real pretty picture but what's a little rain anyway !

And he did still say a 30% chance so just maybe

P.S. anyone in our group want a nice Black and Decker toaster oven $4.00 at Goodwill

I can pick it up at lunch today (if it's still there)

I'll be brining BBQ cocktail weinies for the pitch in.

Shakamak is a beautiful park. Awesome fishing pier less than a 5 minute walk from our campsites.

The racoons are very brave. I chased a huge one out of my neighbor's galley twice, each time it just stood there and stared me down.

See you in Shakamak!!!

Sorry to miss everyone. Lanee's breathing is still not good this morning. I had hoped she might be better this morning and we would be able to join you all for at least today. Oh well.

I'm putting in our registration for CRA today. See you in McCormick's Creek.

Made it home safely. Dumb and dumber (also known as Indiana and Junipper (sic)) made it to the living room, where I heard what sounded like 40 pounds of meat being dropped from 1 foot. Both passed out.

The pitch in was as good as always, especially the jerk pork....that was RIGHTIOUS!

I'm just sad doe friends were table to join us....maybe well. See them at CRA.

Marvelous time this weekend. It was great to see do many if my tearjerker friends.

Sorry, Pete, that Lanee isn't well. Hope she recovers soon.

I still love the idea of Vanilla Extract in a spray bottle to use as a bug repellent for the gnats (Buffalo Gnats according to the park employee at the entrance). Just spray on your hands, and rub onto your exposed skin, hair and ears. And it was working for 2 to 4 hours to keep all bugs (except carpenter bees) away from me. Loved the "green" bug reoellent.

Doing some research, it sounds like a 50/50 vanilla and water works....tha 'villa left a little film behind...

My wife also suggested that Shakamak is an old indiana word, meaning "land of big bugs". She noted that before we got there....after we arrived, I started to thin she was on to something. The good news is, so far I have found only 3 itching bites. That's not bad!

CRA and fall gathering here we come!

The good news: had a GREAT time! Heading to work tomorrow for recovery.
The bad news: discovered why Gertrude had a couple of bows in her tail diamond plate - seems she is of the unfortunate vintage that develops "wall drop"! i.e.: she is a 2007 Little Guy and is falling apart! Will be an interesting summer working with Dan to keep her together over the summer and then to get her into good shape over the winter. Always wanted to build a teardrop, just didn't realize it would be REbuilding my current one1

Thanks, Pete! Right now am trying to find the time to get the old carpeting off. Have had to work every day, and the evenings are chock full of "must be there" events! So far, Saturday afternoon looks promising, as long as it doesn't rain. But I WILL get this done!!!
