Got ya covered Boodro. The campground is really filling up with teardroppers. The "other campers" will be amazed. I wouldn't be surprised to see a few converts within the next year or so.

Ditto! Definately visit and hike The Glen. You can hike throught The Glen both ways, or go one way and take a bus back. There is also a trail running along the top of the glen, but not as much to see, the trail runs mostly through woods and away from the edge of the gorge. I don't know anything about camping in the area but Watkins Glen is also the home of a racetrack if you are into sports car races.

Sounds like we're going to have to add a couple days to our trip!

Looks like I'm nearing completion and will be ready for the May event. The only thing left to do is trim out the bottom of the hatch area. I'll take some new pictures and get them posted. This will be our first outing and an opportunity to figure out all the items we forget to bring. Years ago we had camping down to a science and could leave on the sperm of the moment. After all these years I'm sure the planning of our trip to Turkey Run will rival that of the Lewis & Clark expedition. We'll bring lots of junk we don't need and forget the necessities.

Don't worry, I'll bet some of us have accumulated more than we need over the years of camping.

What ever you need is probably there somewhere.

Chris, I am glad you decided to book a site!
You are right next to me in your Silver Shadow, Stu has a Little Guy on the other side of me, and Dave I think has a Camp Inn right behind me. Boy, my homebuilt might feel a bit insecure next to all these fine manufactured units.

I know how you feel Jim. Mine is certainly not a craftsman's dream but it has many features that will be built in to the next one. This one is a "rolling retro fitted experiment", but it works for me.

From what I can see in your album, your TD looks like a work of art. You must have spent a lot of time on that wood finishing.

Jim,

NOT TO WORRY!

This gathering is about the PEOPLE sharing a little camping time in their teardrops.

You'll find that any potential feelings of insecurity over "who's is better" will quickly melt away.

We each build, buy, or bring whatever we have, and focus on having a good time.

Anyone that focusus on improving their ego at the expense of others will find themselves removed.

Rob
Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...

"NOT TO WORRY" It's April 12th taxes are due and it's still snowing!

We need to make a list of things needed if it snows in May !
With this crazy weather anything can happen. Boots and snow shovels ???

I camped at Mounds State Park one time in mid May and it snowed. But Mounds SP is further north than Turkey Run by about 10 miles.
