There is another Ft Wayne TD builder. "Tripmaker" is his nick name. He'll probably chime in soon.

Yes I'm here. Just returned from a 2 week trip to Yellowstone. I was the one who originally suggested the Mississinewa campout during the re-enactment weekend but I dropped the ball. The re-enactment site is about 10 miles from the campground as I recall. If that weekend doesn't work out for everyone we can do something else. The re-enactment and food vendors would be interesting for those who have not seen it but I've been there and done that, so it's not real important for me.

Wife and I ( and exwife and her hubby) are on the road to Gainsville Florida October 26th for our son's ( ex wife and I ) wedding.

Don't life get crazy

The Marion outing would be a great shake down cruise to check out my yet to be finished 5x10. I intend to take it as our (current wife and I) hotel room for the week we are in Florida. The other 2 can spend their money I'm cheap. Looking forward to showing off my flip out galley and 12 volt 120v lighting fixtures. Almost done and just broke $700.00 in pieces and parts.

Either location would work for us. Whatever everyone wants to do would be fine. What I look foward to is chilling out with friends, eating, and maybe a beer or two, or three.

Earl, No problem. If we have the gathering, just bring a tent (or something). You'll enjoy it. You'll also pick up lots of ideas.

Sorry about not getting on here lately guys, it's been real busy arounf our neck of the woods. We are still interested in go camping. We usually camp across the pond from the marina at the salimonie(sp?). Which ever place suits everyone else is fine for us, We just can't wait to be at a gathering. It's all we have been talking about. Our camper has slowly been in the works for about 3 years now. I'm always finding stuff to do to it... We can't wait to hear back. Thanks..... :)

well, it's been a while since i've been over at the primitive, but it's nice... there is a real nice spot at one end of the camp ground that's nice.. it's out on the tip of a turn around just not too far west from the marina, depending on how many drops we have that would make for a nice little view for the weekend... so what is to be expected at a gathering?? i've only read about them. we're looking forward to it...about the rest of the park it's nice , there are some trails to walk and it's not really that far from the battle field...

Do you have a name Luckey?

I don't do primative I need the electric.
As far as what's expected from a gathering not much just relax meet people have fun that's really about it. I've got a friend with a boat he's bringing and the family and I will probably boat during the day.
In the evening we'll get together for a pitch in if that's what people want it's really very casual no real rules.
