Woodbutcher,
If you bring the waffler, we'll bring the waffle mix. We have our brother's recipe...(supposed to be healthy) :frightened:
...no, really they are good, they just contain oatmeal, flax, walnuts
and bananas. If my kids eat them they can't be too bad.

Betsey,
For supper we are planning on DO Polish Kraut and Apples.
For desert I am going to try a DO recipe from Nanny's Niche cookbook called Strawberry Rhubarb vanilla cream cheese cobbler. Well actually it was Blueberry but I like strawberry rhubarb better.

Sorry for the late response I am a little busy trying to get the tear finished. I will bring V8 and tomato juice for breakfast and for the potluck I will bring hamburgers.

See you there.

Ok, back to the tear.

That avatar is just too freaky...

Dayna's mom would like to know:

It looks like you have so much food that I don't know what to bring. Any suggestions for me? Are there any non-food items that I could bring?

We do have lots of good food planned...and we haven't heard from everyone yet!

Just a reminder for the potluck that when you make a dish, plan on it feeding about 6-8 people and that should make enough for everyone without a ton of leftovers. If you are making a DO dish and using a 12" one, that can feed A LOT of people! Of course, if it's dessert, that's not a problem!

Some other possiblities for something to bring:

Charcoal or lighter fluid to for the DO crowd
Appetizers (any kind of snack is always welcome!)

Breakfast Toppings for Eggs:
Salsa
Sour Cream
Grated Cheese

Breakfast Toppings for Waffles:
Whipped Cream
Syrups
Fruits

Breakfast Beverages:
Juice
Coffee (if anyone cares to take this on for the group, feel free!)
Coffee extras: sugar, creamer

I will add the above to the potluck page to make it more noticeable.

Feel free to add your suggestions to the list!

Woodbutcher,

I've been EMing Nancy and she had this suggestion....

Make sure the waffle iron is preseasoned; other wise your first time will be a disaster. And I'll have the Pam or Olive oil spray to use.

I'll leave it up to you to have the iron preseasoned. :shake hands:

Got it all ready. It's seasoned well. I hope to learn from some of the more experianced wafflers. Should be fun!
