It really wasn't what you'd call a "slip and fall" issue. More like a mighty leap, turn your ankle, semi graceful, belly flop, with a half twist!! 8.5 on the scoring boards. :?

Cooler Near the Lake II

Postby karrowr » Thu Feb 28, 2008 12:21 am

I've been lurking on your site for some months now, and have had a ball designing and building trailers in my sleep. :? But actually the only small trailer I've ever laid eyes on was a T@B, a couple of weeks ago at a dealer. I was wondering if it would be OK to show up at CNTL II, on Saturday, probably, and just look around and talk to folks. We won't be staying in the park (the wife gave up camping long ago -- that's why we need a trailer!).

You are more than welcome to visit with us any time. Their is no better place to get ideas for your own trailer. If you want to make a weekend of it their is a Sleep-Inn about a mile form the entrance to the state park. http://www.sleepinn.com/ires/en-US/html/HotelInfo?hotel=WI100&sid=bTbA.vdxbdgO4Lm.7

Thats how it starts you start lurking around here and then you start thinking if these guys can build one I surely can. A lot of us have been there. Do yourself a favor and come on up and introduce yourself. You will see some nice home built and quite a few different maunfactured tear drops. We are a friendly bunch and love showing off our tear drops. :)

Hey People:
I got some good news....and some bad news. The good news is my tulips are poking through, which means spring is right around the corner.

The bad news is, this is what the rest of my yard looks like.

So it might still be a while

The snow pack is about as thick as I can remember for a March first around here too. We have eight weeks to get this snow mess cleaned up! For all the shoveling I did this winter there better be some really nice weekends to compensate.

Carol from Chicago (flygirl) and I drove out to Kohler park last weekend. My sight was plowed and a few others, but IF we were going to camp now we'd better bring some snow-blowers and shovels!!!

Heh, some of the TD's would disappear in the snow. Perfectly camouflaged! Well, that might be one way to get around the camping fees!

I just re-read the whole thread and got caught up with all the goings on . . . This thing is coming up fast !! Mine is a frozen block of aluminum sitting in the garage with snow shovels leaning up against it . I'd better start de-frosting . . .

What happens if I don't have a waffle iron ?? I'm looking forward to learning how to do the waffle thing . . . anything I can bring to help out ?

Here's a couple good maps from the DNR website . . . lots of trails and beach access.

As amazing as this may be to those who know me, I don't have one either.

So, don't worry about it...I plan on bringing some toppings for the waffles. My family has a sugar bush, so I'll bring some real maple syrup. And I'll probably concoct some other tempting toppings and bring them along.
