Well, if Elmo's t-shirt design is anything like his jammies, we will ALL be "cooler near the lake." :o

What is happening? Is everyone in hibernation? :QM

I have my dish cloths all knitted as my donation of a raffle prize. :)

I have quite a collection of prizes, I just need to have some suggestions for categories for the prizes.

Lots of questions......

Is it a raffle, a door prize drawing, individual awards for things like "Farthest Travelled," "Most Inovative Design," "Best Idea," etc., or a combination of these?

If it's a raffle, what are the ticket prices?

If it is a door prize drawing, does everyone bring something?

If it is individual awards, do we have everyone vote? (This is what we did at the ITG. Everyone got a ballot with certain categories and they could vote for the teardrop of their choice for each category.)

Inquiring minds want to know....(well, at least I want to know! )

Is it a raffle, no
a door prize drawing, individual awards for things like "Farthest Travelled," "Most Innovative Design," "Best Idea," etc., or a combination of these? I think something along these lines.
If it is individual awards, do we have everyone vote? (This is what we did at the ITG. Everyone got a ballot with certain categories and they could vote for the teardrop of their choice for each category.)

If it is a door prize drawing, does everyone bring something. No, if you want to, OK, but it's not necessary. I have a collection of stuff. Mostly automotive cleaning type supplies, small tools, flashlights, etc.
Let's not make it too complicated, I'm just not the best organizer. We have a month to figure it out. Yes, I know a month is sometimes very short depending on your age. Like for me February was only about a week ago, Christmas about two weeks and the last time it was warm outside was about a year ago. I havent been out to the campground since Sunday and just about froze, I was thinking how will it be warm in a month?

Sorry, I used the word "raffle" and created so much confusion.

what if we do a silent auction? we could use the money raised to pay for the shelter. (if there's extra we'll save it for next year!)

this would allow all the CampInn owners a chance at a "prize" as they already have the coolest campers...

I don't think so...! They cannot compete w/homemade satisfaction.

prize

Postby tjx » Thu Mar 26, 2009 9:40 pm

Sorry I ask too many questions sometimes....

But I like Brwfier's idea of door prize drawing and a contribution if one wants to, mostly keeping it to small interesting items. Maybe even brown bag them and draw out of a box or something. Could label them men/women. It would be fun to see what everyone gets and a surprise at that. :)

I'm right behind you in the fact that a month will fly by before I'm ready!
That's why I asked the question in the first place.

$4.00/site is a steel for the unpredictable weather. So what kind of participation are you looking to experience with the raffle/door prize?
Does home baking qualify for bake sale idea? Or should that be saved for the pot luck? On another note, How does one aquire a T-shirt?
