RN antenna

Postby Nitroxjunkie71 » Fri Jun 12, 2009 8:22 am

That's great Scott. :applause: After reading your post I went out and re-scanned; today is the day you know. I had 29 channels as of 9: pm last night. I too am camping this weekend in Michigan and am taking a real big chance. I am going to Fort Custer RA to visit my old dive shop and do some diving around my old stomping grounds. As long as I can kick back at the CG with NBC I will be happy. With my roof antenna (old technology) I had a hard time getting much up that way with my box but that was a year ago. Game 7 "Red Wings vs. Penguins is tonight and if I can't get NBC I will
I will post tonight how many channels I get up that way once I get settled in and fire up the grill. ;)
Have fun camping
Jeff

The Deepest spot in Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes is 1,333 feet or about 222 fathoms. This profound depth could easily contain the entire 1,250' Empire State Building, even with a 50-foot-tall King Kong perched atop.

Damn boy it's about time you knocked the dust off of that antenna. Glad to hear it works so well. I forgot to rescan last night I bet there will be several more available now!

Some of the channels have up to 5 sub channels now which surprised me. There are several of those that have signal but were blacked out. I am hoping by midnight I will have the History Channel, Discovery Channel, Science Channel and National Geographic!

All from this little Gizmo! Thanks Bob.

OK I'm back, sorry I didn't post last night. I spent 3 1/2 at the hospital getting tested. When in with some chest aches and short of breath been happening for a while just kind of got to me when I was mowing yesterday.
Nothing showed up negative on the 2 EKG's and multiple blood tests. I go in tomorrow for a stress test. What fun.

Weekend was great I posted some pics in the trails and tails thread section.
No rain until Sat might after we went to bed.

Antenna only picked up 4 channels 1 was Spanish. Really better than I thought it would do cause it is major wooded down there at Spring Mill.
I'm gonna work on my telescoping pole I think I'd have picked up more.
I had it up under the gazebo. Thanks for the frame Dan it worked great.

Out campin' enjoying the good life. Meanwhile I am workin' my ass of trying to get "Barn to be wild" ready for Chain O' Lakes. Hell I am still digging out splinters from a week ago Saturday.

But seriously hope ya had a great time and thanks for the report on the redneck antenna.

Jeff should be along with his report as soon as the at&t guys show up and get his internet connection fixed.

Scott, keep us posted. Good that you don't ignore the warning signs. Hopefully it will turn out to be allergies or something simple.

Well after my time on the tread mill I reached my target heart rate with very little change in heart activity so it's most likely not that.
I was wired up like Frankenstein trying to run. I'm just not built to run up a step hill. So it's back to my family Dr to see what he wants to do next.

PS I had my camper weighed last weekend for the first time. 1720 lbs not as bad as thought it was gonna be. I still think I can get by with a 400lb ultralight pulled tandem.

All right all right, I'm here. I returned home Sunday afternoon from Michigan and just as I pulled in the drive it started to rain. I sure am glad I got back when I did because it really came down and my side window on the trailer (not latched) had slid open. Boy was I lucky!
I couldn't unload in the storm so I came in to reply to Tim's post:

Image

but while doing so lightening hit just outside the window. I jumped 6 feet in the air and quickly left the room. After returning I looked outside for something burning but nothing. I returned to post but no internet. They finally showed up yesterday and said a surge must have traveled down the cable into the router. It had power but wouldn't connect.

All  I can say  is that Tim was  right. The Redwings did fall to the  Penguins in game 7 of the Stanley cup finals  . I was able to view the penguin pic on my phone while at camp but decided to post later. I did get a chuckle from the post regardless of my  mental state at the  time. Tim you sure know how to :BE a guy when he's down.

I was able to get 17 channels Friday night but that changed Saturday. I think it was due to weather. Hey Tim; now that you posted the penguin photo, we will be expecting you at the '10 shiveree! 8)

I sure can't wait until the next one.

 Chain of Lakes here we come! :applause:

Well guess I am the first one in for the '10 Shiveree. wouldn't miss it but I
have a weather problem, it is always sunny and calm when I camp and what would we brag about the rest of the year. You sure you want me there??

got to go to the Boogie catch you later.

I'm so not ready to think about a Shiveree, I'm getting into the warm weather and planning another family weekend before the great Tri/5 state gathering.

Still planning on a night and the parade on the 12th of July, that will be a site.
