Kurt,

Two questions. First what is the latest with your grandchild? Congratulations in advance.

Second, can we accomodate a pop-up at the Madison event? Is it too late to add one?

I quess that was three questions.

Thanks
Jim

"Does that make me a bad dad"

Scott,

Nah! Tying them up in black plastic bags and setting them in the sun for a few hours would make you a bad dad.

Wanting some peace and quiet, makes you OLD!

Nothing yet but maybe induce today.

Pop up is OK as long as you think it will fit on the shared site.

Send me a check for $25 per day of camping.

Kurt,

I have never seen their sites so I have no idea if it will fit. Do you know anything about the size of the camp sites? Do you know if the city will be offering full sites to the public? They could register themselve if they are.

I think the paved sites are 9 x 30 with grass between them. I can fit the Teardrop and my car on the pavement with enought room for the canopy on the back over the galley. The Popup should fit along with the Teardrop if they are angled on the site. Trying to get a single site that time of year is nearly impossible.

One thing could be tried and that is to call the campground on April 1, 2008 and try to reserve a single site. This even is very popular and sites are difficult to get but it's worth a try.

Otherwise we'll make it fit.

I think it will be OK either way, just a little roomier with the single site.

Kurt,

I hate to keep pestering you but you have been there and I have not. If we double up like you say where will we put all the cars and trucks? Sounds like space is limited and with 2 teardrops per pad it will be a tight fit. Will they let us park on the grass?

Any baby news yet?
Jim

Jim, there is a lower grass parking area for the cars and trucks. It's very close to the camp sites.

They show booked if you put in popup but if you put in tent they are still open. [/quote]

Scott or anyone who knows for that matter.

Where Brown County parks are concerned; when you log in to reserve a site there is not an option for T's or TTT's so what are we supposed to list when reserving? This question is only for future reference however I am still a bit puzzled. Please excuse my lack of knowledge. As I said before "I am a newbie at this fancy camping."

The Deepest spot in Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes is 1,333 feet or about 222 fathoms. This profound depth could easily contain the entire 1,250' Empire State Building, even with a 50-foot-tall King Kong perched atop.

I always put in popup myself, but you could put in tent as they are generally smaller that popups. I don't think the campground cares.

Are we there yet

Most tents are bigger than 5x8 so think of it as a hard shelled tent !

Grandpa update:

9:30pm Confirmed that water broke, and will induce labor within the hour.

My wife is a nervous wreck :? and I'm hanging in there. My son seems composed and on top of things. (he has no idea what's in store for them) but he's OK and Erin (his wife is OK).

I told him to make sure he gets movies and cut the "cord". You can't do this over if you miss the shot.

I'll post an update later.

Update:
10:00pm

My son says that their normal doctor and favorite nurse are at hand and will stay thru the delivery. My wife is down off the ceiling and I'm on the Teardrop board. I think I'll skip sleeping until later because I'm sure the phone traffic will be picking up very soon.

All is calm for now. The delivery process is moving forward. This is more nerve-racking than having our own kids. :? :?
