Hi Guys,
Well I really wanted to make it this weekend for your winter campout but it looks like I will be down in the Lake Monroe area doing some hiking/geocaching instead. Just so I wouldn't miss out of the whole experience, I parked my tear out in my backyard this last weekend and spent Saturday night out in it. I did use some of your advice and preheated the trailer for a few hours before getting in it and boy did that make a difference! Thanks for that tip. I will be watching to see how you guys fair this weekend, make sure you take the cameras and get a bunch of picture.

Here is one picture from my weekend mini-adventure

Good luck guys and gals.

Well, I just finished putting all the bungees on all the sides and roof for the shelter and all necessary parts rounded up. My rear doors are still off the trailer because there was a little water that had gotten into the bottom and wicked up about 5 inches so I have been letting the framework dry thoroughly before I reassemble. The doors have been insulated and I should be able to wrap the project tomorrow after work. Scott, I too am still planning on Friday; anyone else :QM

The Deepest spot in Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes is 1,333 feet or about 222 fathoms. This profound depth could easily contain the entire 1,250' Empire State Building, even with a 50-foot-tall King Kong perched atop.

How many are now planning to get there Friday? We have a blizzard watch for the FW area tonight and tomorrow and another snow storm forcast for Thursday. So far Friday is looking OK as far as snow goes but I'll have to dig out a path to my barn to get the camper out. I'll definately be there Saturday, not so sure yet about Friday.

ME, I must be  the wind outside now is very cold.
I'm doing sort of a test, I opened the garage door and I'm seeing what the inside vs. outside temp gets to be.
Can't pull it outside (I don't like HOA's) so I can't get the full wind effect.

OK my final test for today, down to 18 in the garage and up to 69 in the camper 6" above bare floor level. That's a51 deg. difference and I haven't finished putting in all the insulation and weather proofing. I'm gonna be toasty.

Looks like the temperature will increase by 15-20 deg on Saturday. The wind will still be a factor but at least it's from the south.
Friday looks like an extremely cold day.

Tomorrow it will be 10F colder in Indiana than in Alaska. :?
