Camping in the Midwest, including Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin & Kentucky. Also includes Buckeye, Hoosier and BlueGrass Tearjerker chapters

Postby bobhenry » Mon Feb 21, 2011 7:50 am

I'm there with ya Linda. I have my recipe already picked out for the cook off.

I have also been working hard on the dutch oven seminar for Saturday.

We should have a most amazing pitch in dinner with this gathering. Can you imagine 100 different items on the menu

Wow, Linda, you are way ahead of the game. Any ideas on what you'll cook for the contest? 8)

I had the chance to get to the Indy "Boat, Sport & Travel" show at the Indiana State Fair grounds today.

Dan Sutton and Grover Upton (two of our Hoosier Chapter member) set up an awesome display highlighting the "Hoosier" Tearjerkers Chapter as well as a poster for the "Crossroads of America 2011 " Gathering.

We have a great chapter with creative and energetic members.
Thanks to everyone who set this up.

The spectators were "blown away"

Here is a short video clip I took at the show. (not the best video work, but you get the idea.)

Thanks for the compliments. We thought it would be good exposure seeing as how the show has 175,000 to 215,000 spectators each year!!
And... the promoters gave us the booth space for free!

Chapter Banners at the CRA 2011.

Although I'm sure you will, let me remind you that all Chapters Banners should be brought to the gathering.

I'd like to make a big display area so we can see all of the chapters represented.

I counted (17) Chapters so far.

If, for some reason, your Director (or Co-Director) can't make it to the gathering, I'd like someone from your chapter to bring the banner along.

This will be a fantastic show of support that will be seen in photos and videos for all the teardrop world to see. :applause:

We are on the verge of breaking the "100" mark. I have picked up new verbal and paid committments over the past few days.

Right now, we have "99" campers who are on the list.

Keep in mind that not all of these campers have "paid" so they are not "officially" registered.

It's been a long couple of months but it will be worth the effort when we finally cross into "Triple Digits".

I'll alert Scott when I have payments and confirmations for the new campers.

Our new "Banner" just arrived.
The banner is compliments of "Hollywood Banners". (One of our generous sponsors)

Many thanks to Susan Frank (Bluegrass Chapter co-director) and Scott Thurston (Hoosier Chapter co-director) for the art work and banner layout.

I think it looks really good. What do you think?
