Scott
We had 2 couples over that just couldn't wait to show us Phase 10 and play it. And we did. Then we showed them contract rummy, and they haven't played Phase 10 again! True story!

Good day

Postby Nitroxjunkie71 » Sat Feb 09, 2008 10:29 pm

I don't know about the rest of you, but today was a great day for tear and tiny travel trailer projects. I got a lot done.

The Deepest spot in Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes is 1,333 feet or about 222 fathoms. This profound depth could easily contain the entire 1,250' Empire State Building, even with a 50-foot-tall King Kong perched atop.

Spent the morning putting some finishing touches on a solar water heater for the tear. About noon I was moved by a passing Harley and decided that the Beemer needed some exercise (She hadn't been ridden since Tuesday---right before the storm). Burned about 75 miles, trying to find the old route from New Harmonae to Mt Vernon along the Wabash. The route is fits and snorts as the state and the Nature Conservamcy has purchased large amounts of land and returned it to wilderness (flyway) and the river is up from the gullywampuses on Tuesday Night and Wednesday. Nevertheless, the Beemer rode the rock and mud like a lady.

Didn't see any deer, but I saw a huge female redtail hawk in morph munching on a groundhog, a skunk, and a bunch of geese in a high formation heading north. Must mean spring is on its way.

It really makes the commute a lot shorter (or so it seems).

Between the books, music and talk radio the one hour isn't all that bad.

How many are left ? We will have to resort to drastic measures. Friend 's relatives and a ad blitz on the forum. 8)

Lots of space left 15 will fill up the Buffalo Ridge section with only 2 spots that are unaccounted for so far. I'm working on a couple couples. Not teardroppers yet 8) But a gathering of this magnitude could easily change that.

We Still Need to get Mike and and Rob from northern Michigan to join us

We'll have to start putting plugs in threads

Tell them Vols that Brown County State Park is not all that far from Nashville and for anyone from say--Colorado, it's a hop skip and a jump from Pikes Peak.
