How will you make it with such a modest Galley.

So what are the ratchet straps for?

If you look close at the galley pics you can see the aluminum roofing is not rolled under and trapped with the trim in the rear yet at the prow and I was afraid the wind would grab it and tear it up. I picked up 12 white rosettes to secure the ridge cap at each truss but forgot the 100% silicone to seal it so yet another trip today but after work then the straps will come off. The compound angle cuts at the prow point have me scratching my head though. I will get it it just takes some experimenting!

Have 5 foot of counter still and the dutch oven table will set about 5 feet from the rear of the trailer for the cooktop, dutchovens and or grill so she has almost as much space as with Chubby. I just gotta convince her! She is already moaning about missing the flip out galley on Chubby.

What time are we looking at holding the Saturday afternoon, evening, night pre-parade vigil?

The Deepest spot in Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes is 1,333 feet or about 222 fathoms. This profound depth could easily contain the entire 1,250' Empire State Building, even with a 50-foot-tall King Kong perched atop.

Check in is at 2:00 I think I'll try and be there around that time. I'm bringing the boys and not the wife. So because there's so much to do there we may go swimming in the lake with a beach or fishing that afternoon.

 Wonder if the lakes deep enough to dive in  no probably not

Forgot to add, the sites are 27.50 + tax and have water & electric.

Any thoughts on Food free for all or do we want to get together and make a meal?

One night we are going minimalistic. We always get a bit crazy so bonfire food is in order I may resort to hot dogs on a stick and a couple deli sides.

Menu update for Chain of Lakes "Pitch-in" dinner.

Kurt - "Sausage/chicken Gumbo (over rice) and Carribean Red Beans and Rice."

Dan & Suzi - "Cold steak salad"

Bob & Vic - Homemade hot bread and a Monster meat loaf.

Joe & Vicky - Cabbage stew

Post what you would like to bring and I'll keep a running list of menu items..

Friday night we will have a "wine and Cheese" get together (on site #70) where we can meet each other.
This is a voluntary party but if you plan to attend just bring a bottle of wine (or two) and a "finger food" to serve between wines.
Kraft beers are always welcome as well so bring your favorite for the enjoyment of all. :applause:

Is it Saturday yet? I'm so ready to see the banner holder above the camper, it's to tall to put on in the garage.
I also found some spikes made for Tiki torches that will work great when the banner holder is converted to a movie screen holder. :beautiful:

I found a good looking recipe for sliced sweet potato's and onions that looks pretty good, it's got brown sugar and maple syrup in it so you know it's got to be good. What ever I decide on I think it will be a side dish I need to try something new.
