Cliffside sounds good to me. We could call it  By the Lake gathering.

My vote would be May 19-20.

Tom that is a good lookin' shirt! I am a XXL

Sounds like Cliffside is the choice, OK by me. Now lets nail down a date and start making reservations. I'm good with 5/19 and 5/20.
I'll take a run up to the County office and see how it looks for that weekend as far as openings go. I'll pick a site and reserve it. Then as people sign on they can try for a site close to it. I don't think it will be that crowded, this early.
Tom
PS Jim and Bessey: I wore that shirt the day I picked up my trailer. :D
I can drink all day.....provided I don't start till 11PM

I can't make that weekend! :( My wife does a Lighthouse weekend in Door County that weekend every year and I am stuck with the kids. And it is also the Green Bay Marathon which I run when and if in shape ever again or I volunteer to help.

I wore that shirt the day I picked up my trailer.

Tom,
I thought the background looked familiar. :)

Cliffside looks like a good choice and we are fairly open for dates.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I noticed that Cliffside does not allow alcohol of any kind in the group site. Not a big deal to Craig or me, as we don't drink, but if you are thinking of using the group site, it might be important to some.

Betsey :)

I'm out! Camping sober...who would do such a thing? :tipsy:

By the way...I am just kidding...I think I made it sober for a whole camping trip...I think I was 10 and the scout leader found my stash!

Were we thinking group or seperate sites? I don't know how the other events do it.

I would vote for individual sites as I enjoy having a beer or two now and then. Who would have guessed. I am still open for most any date. If elmo cant make it maybe we need a southeastern camp out and a latter Door County Camp Out. I think the end of this month to choose a final date would be reasonable, unless TLC thinks availability is going fast.

How does May 12-13 sound? Individual sites?

As far as the Door County gathering...we can do that anytime! I leave the house here in a hour to go pay and sign up for my seasonal site at Tranquil Timbers. Site # B11. Bottom right of map!

http://www.tranquiltimbers.com/sitemap.html

I have a 32' Jayco I used twice last year and figured I would give this a shot this year. I am not a big fan of the same place all the time, but with the kids (3-5) it might be easier. I will have a TD for all the other campgrounds.

This summer if you are heading that way let me know I will have a  waiting and Betsey and Craig I am sure I will have some soda on hand...need that for the mixed drinks! ;)

My vote is for individual sites and everyone can make their own reservations. I'm going up there tuesday and check things out. You guys have to settle on the date. I can most likely make it no matter when it is. If I get a vote.....I'd opt for a date closer to the beginning of May. After all The ITG isn't far behind.
As for the drinking end of it. I quit 3 times in one night and still went home buzzed!!!! :tipsy:

Elmo's suggestion of May 12-13 is Mothersday - may cause a conflct.

My tear won't be ready but I plan on driving up from IL. for research !
Just waiting for your date and place. I live about an hour south of Claw.

Hey we are making progress here! Cliffside as a location with individual site we individually reserve for the gathering. So now the DATE.

I am thinking the earlier the better but it seems the First weekend is out brwbier has conflict. The Second weekend is out, Mothers Day. The Third weekend is out Elmo has conflict. Fourth weekend is Memorial Day weekend...too crowded, which according to my calender shoots May.

How about the 28-29 of April. I think we need to get a date settled so we can then get a jump on reservations to allow the best chance to get ajoining sites, plus get it posted out there so other can consider it for there calender.

Name: Cooler by the Lake Gathering :applause:

Glad to have you aboard. If this ever gets off the ground, there should be plenty of opportunity to pick peoples brains and check out their rigs.
