The results are in!!!! I hope everyone made it home "OK".
The Raccoon lake gathering was a great success. We had 30 teardroppers in attendance. 3 could not make it for health (medical emergencies) or personal reasons, but those who made it were blessed buy a mix of fun friendship and lots of rain.
Hopefully everything will be ready for the Chain of Lake gathering in late July.
Friday afternoon and evening was a washout but no one drowned in the torrents of rain.
Tons of food at the pitch-in dinner. I noticed that, not only more people bring food, but the
size of the (cast iron) dutch ovens gets a little bigger each year.
Oh BTW, I lost my (conventional) lid lifter so if any one has and extra one, I can get it at the next gathering.
I always appreciate the campers who are not afraid to get a little wet along with the sunshine. I'm just glad we're not "tent camping"
These are very dedicated campers and when the weather was good, the fun was obvious.
Thanks to all of the brave teardroppers and campers for making this event a great start to the season.
Pictures will be posted soon.
