Great Mark, I had you marked as a tentative. Being this close to home makes it better.

I was just checking out the park's website. They are celebrating the parks 95th anniversary that Saturday. There is also a free concert at the amphitheater that evening.

95 th anniversary and a free concert

Sounds like a big drawing card all the more reason to get this gathering locked down as soon as possible.

When this news gets out among the civilians there will be a lot of competition for sites so please get registered EARLY. We know plans change in 6-7 months but there will be someone who will gladly step into your site if you are unfortunate enough to miss this one.

We are looking for more campers to fill up the McCormick's Creek State Park for the "Crossroads of America 2011" gathering.
Sponsored by Whetzel Trace Travelers (teardrop MFG.) and Little Guy Teardrops, Desert Teardrops and organized by Chapters from Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, West Virginia and Michigan, we are expecting a big crowd.

There is good list of campers started but we are always looking for more.

Currently there are (9) chapters registered and (2) more showing serious interest.

Don't leave your chapter "un-represented".
Please take a look at the web site and enjoy the new Videos, Trailer History, as well as the sponsor links and activities that have been added.

We are filling up fast considering it's only been one month since we announced the gathering.
I am compiling a list of everyone who has registered and getting ready to call in our (estimated) reservations on January 14, 2011.

It seems like a long way off but there is some information that I'll need to have before that day in January.

For those who haven't officially registered yet, please let me know if you'll be arriving Thursday or Friday.

This is important since I will be holding your site for either three or two nights.

These details need to be thought through accurately since the following could happen:
#1 If I book sites for Thursday I will need campers to pay for three nights. If the campers who haven't registered yet only want two nights then I'll need to cancel one of the nights. (@ $10 per site)

#2 If I only hold the sites for two nights then some people may not get the three night stay.

The point is, I need to know who is coming in on Thrusday and who isn't.

This is not a "binding" committment but I want to get the sites reserved as accurately as possible to avoid cancellation fees.

So, please let me know if you intend on coming and what day you will arrive.

Thanks for your help.

Please don't forget that when paying with PayPal, there is a 3.37% fee charged if you use a Credit of Debit card.

If the money is transfered from a Bank account or a PayPal account there is no fee.

If using a Credit or Debit card please add 3.37% to your amount for the gathering fee.

Another way to avoid fees is to simply send a check.

Thanks for your help.

We are going to try to attend, its only an 8 hour drive. I grew up 18 miles from that park and spent many nights camping there in my youth. It has some great hiking trails and a small cave for those brave enough for a tight squeeze. The White River can be accessed via a trail from the campground, decent fishing though I would not eat anything out of that river. If anyone has a canoe, it is an ideal river for floating on. The town of Spencer (3 miles away) has all of the supplies a person could use. Walmart, fast food, good sit down diners, there are a few bars also. I recommend "The Pheonix", good little club with good food. I used to so shows there years ago and the lady who owns is a sweet heart.
