So when I was shopping for a water heater I thought of this idea and wonder how it would work. For large gatherings to make alot of food over a fire. You buy one of those Water heater pans that go under the water heater they are large in size and have high sides and if you plug the hole you could make some killer pancakes or bacon or eggs and with such a large cooking area it would work good I think. I know you would have to spray it or butter it up for pancakes so it doesnt stick but has anyone tried or thought of that idea because for $20.00 for it that would be a really easy way to make bacon or eggs or pancakes or anything really easy.

ACK ! Been so busy picking up the new trailer and outfitting it, we forgot about prepping for CBTL. What's needed yet for breakfast? We have a 30 cup coffee urn we can bring. Probably do something in the mini-smoker for Sat. night. Only 3 weeks away....

Duke, How about bringing the coffee, to go with your pot? Nobody has signed up for that yet. It is a critical ingredient for breakfast!

I'm going to go ahead and sign up for Dutch Oven Chili for Saturday night's supper. I've found a couple simple-looking recipes online that I think I can handle. I think I'll probably try one out this weekend, just to make sure it goes OK.

Chili sounds really good right now for this crazy weather we are having with flash floods to freezing rain to snow.

We're going to change things up a bit since we have two enchilada dishes going and change ours to Pulled Pork Sliders.

Came out pretty good!

Biggest thing I learned: I don't have any charcoal lighter. I lit my coals with a propane torch!

But it worked and tasted good. Now I'm a little more confident in making it at CNTL.
