Funny how animals can sense things like earthquakes.
My wife woke up at 3:15am and couldn't get back to sleep.
I left for work at 5: 20am so I didn't feel anything.

I'll have to ask tonight if she felt it.

Apparently there were three shakers----a tiny 2.5 shaker at about 2:30 AM, the biggie (5.4 Richter Scale) at about 4:30AM, and a third 4.5 at 10:15AM. All ties are CST as this part of Indiana refuses to comform with slo time. All were centered around Olney, Illinois---not to far from Vincinnes--the home of Red Skelton.

Been to long since a post on here, not to much longer till the garthering. Everyone must be busy getting ready, I gunning for repainting early next week. I might make it :worship:
Guess what my tear will support my weight on the top (and that's asking a lot  ) I had to crawl up there to fiberglass the seam in the top.

Any one that hasn't given me the name for there button/buttons yet let me know I'd like to get them ordered probably the end of next week at the latest. With that many buttons I want to give them plenty of time.

I am sooo ready for the weekend off.

How many days Bob?

Scott, the new "Spring" weather has generated a lot of work for people. I cleaned up my Tear this week after the wet and yucky weekend at Madison and I'm ready to go for May.

May is always an unpredictable time for weather but I'd much rather be Teardropping than trying to qualify a race car at Indy.

The Indy 500 schedule looks like we'll be listening to the third day of qualifying. Should be fun  :applause:

Sorted out our menu over the weekend
Should arrive noonish on Friday and leaving after breakfast Sunday

Friday lunch Grilled stuffed chicken breast with wild rice and seasoned green beans

Friday night Mini meat loafs with steamed vegatables and of course our deep fry fiasco.

Sat. Breakfast homemade Biscuits and sausage gravy. ( Thank you Lord for Vickie's B's & G's )

Sat lunch baked Tilapia with potatoe wedges and a salad.

Sat night the big pitch in woo woo we're preparing a whole tenderloin seasoned with a few banana peppers and smothered with crushed tomatoes to tenderize it. Trying to find a pie tender we can trust in the cooled so we can bring 2 cheese cakes Rasberry Blackberry and a mandrin orange and pineapple.

Sunday am the waffle fest . I just made myself real hungry and we are still 3 weeks away :(

Jeff if your eating pop tarts and pop corn come on over and help me out Vic always cooks way to much.
That's probably why I am so big

I am so ready for this gathering. If I can just get my two boys throught the AWANA Grand Prix at church (a lot like a pinewood derby if your not familiar) then I can finally start to think almost full time about the gathering. Since our TTT is nowhere near done, I have to get out the tenting gear, make sure all the pieces are where they are supposed to be etc.

I have not even thought about our menus for the weekend. We just recently found out that our oldest is allergic to essentially all milk products. That is really throwing a kink into things. I am redoing all my recipes to find an alternative. Dessert is the big one for him. He loves ice cream, and whipped cream, and pretty much any other dessert stuff that is made with milk.

But what ever we bring to the pitch-in, it will most assuredly be cooked in a dutch oven. I will also have my waffle iron for Saturday and Sunday mornings.

BTW, for those of you who may have heard about all the changes going at Lilly, I am caught right in the middle of that. I am not particularly worried about becoming unemployed, but the position that I am currently in is going away. I am confident that I will find something else to do in the company, but right now I have no idea what that might be. This is causing just a little uneasiness in our house. I am someone who fundamentally doesn't like change, and not knowing what is coming is making me uneasy. I am trying to find something on my own rather than waiting to be told what I am doing next, so I can at least have a little control over things. Oops, looks like I just did some venting. Oh well, felt good.

Cant wait for the 16th! Only 24 days!

Scott wander over for lunch Friday I am sure there will be plenty.

Tom : How old are the boys ? I was thinking about bringing my 14 year old grandson but haven't asked him yet. I was just looking at tents at Wally world for him to have his own space.

My boys are 9 and 10. I know they would love to have another kid to hang out with, and I can't think of any 14 year olds that wouldn't love having their own tent to stay in.

The wife agrees she loves them, I was just warped physcologically as a kid and made to sit at the table until I ate a green bean. Now I'm grown up (physically) and I can eat what ever I want and green beans just aren't on that list

Don't get me wrong I do eat one now and again just to remind myself I still don't like them.
