You are showing your age. That's what my old man said about Rock & Roll. But I have to agree with you, the music I grew up on in the late 50's & 60's was happy and upbeat music. What little Hip-hop & Rap I have heard is mostly depressing & negitive. Guess that makes me old too.

Jim

Guys, did he just call me old??

Hey Jim, 72 is my birth year...Not my age! :baby:

HEHE why you're just a pup. I graduated HS in 67 and got married in 72. now I feel ancient. Older than the rocks at Turkey Run.

i just tried to reserve a spot at turkey run and found out that everything is taken in the loop. :( i was wondering how many others are having this problem. i'm going to try to reserve a block an the other side 258-235 in case someone else wants a spot. it doesn't cost me anything to make the reservations to hold the spots you will just have to give them the name under which the spots are reserved. i'm going to take the 258. if you want a spot then just as me and i will give you my info.

I can make the gathering. It sure would be nice to be in the loop but it looks like they are all booked.

Jim, last year we were spread out a bit at Spring Mill but it all worked out well.
We had a "feeding frenzy" at Turkey Run.

Kurt, since teardrop from Illinois reserverd those other sites i cannot veiw the descriptions. I am interested in #232 but will need some shade as i will be a little pressed for time to get a/c installed. Do you know what that site is like?

Mark,

If you go to the reservation site (Kurt posted the link above) and start a reservation choosing the interactive map named "turkey run sugar ridge electric", you can still click on the red (reserved) sites and read the descriptions...you just can't reserve it. At least it's working that way for me.

Here's what it says in case you can't get it to work:

231 and 232 are Afternoon Sun
248 Full sun
257 Morning Shade

It looks like Claw has already claimed 232 a couple posts above.

Chris

I wouldn't worry about A/C. I've camped in May had had it snow on us. Never know what Indiana has to serve up in the way of weather but we'll hope for sunshine. 8) I'm at amazed how fast things are filling up. Should be a great weekend.

For those that are out of the loop (no pun intended) I wouldn't worry about it. The distances on the campground map are much closer than what they appear to be. It's a long time since I've been there but I'll guess it's less than 50 yards from 257 to 219.

Jim is right, the distances are not as great as they appear...

And, unless we get a hot spell, the weather won't likely yet be past the 70's.

Site 232 is nice, being backed up to some trees, but not much shade.
We had it last fall (The shiny one is 232and 233, the old Scotty is 234)

Site 236-241 are pretty wooded, and close, but there is a ravine between the loops...

Thanks for the pictures Rob. I think 232 will accommidate my cobbled Tear Drop just fine. Looks like a great place and I am looking forward to it.

There is an open invitation to everyone to a gathering in Racine WI right on Lake Michigan on April 28-29 check out the Eastern WI gathering thread in the Midwest section. :)
