Beginning to rethink the Shivaree.

It's only road grime !

Wear it proudly as a badge of honor.

Or you could stay home and give us someone to talk about.

It's crazy < but I am looking forward to it.

Gonna spend Christmas day getting the Barn ready to launch.

Does anyone know of the restrooms will be open at Mounds? When we were at Lieber State Rec. Area in late November, the only thing available was the pit potties, as the RRs were closed for the season. We brought our porta potty, put it in our "outhouse" tent next to the power supply and ran our heater in it. Kept it a nice 60+ degrees in there, which came in handy at night!

Only thing open is the pit toilet, but mounds has a brick sided pit toilet that looks pretty wind proof. I know the first year Dan put a propane heater in the bathroom at the stae park and it took the chill off.

That is a brilliant idea idea Pat one I might have to look into :applause:

So does this mean you'll be joining us

:applause: We're up to 10 and 1 on the fence about to come over to our side.

All who want to join us are welcome, it's a fun time and something to brag about for sure

The shower/utility tent was about $35 at Walmart. The heater was set to 60 and it was kicking off when the outside temps were around 40, so the tent holds a decent amount of heat even with the vents it has near the top.

I'm still on the fence, but that's only because of the weather. I seriously don't think I'll get the T@B out if there's snow, as we're planning on upgrading to one of the new Serro Scottys next year, which means we'll have to sell the T@B first, which means I don't dare risk putting it in a wreckable position. :D But if it looks like we'll be free of snow and the temps aren't too unruly, I'm planning on being there! So I'll be sitting the fence until that week.

Guess I'll be sitting on the fence for a while too. I get back from Puerto Vallarta on the 11th. Just think of the shock to my system if I attend the Shivaree.

Remember one thing about Mounds boys. It was closed last year and we had to make a last minute switch. Scott you may want to set up "Plan B" in advance.

I'll be on the fence also if the weather turns bad I don't want anyone to try and make it I'd rather see you in May than risk any one getting hurt on bad roads.
back up will probably be summit like last year, they're close enough together that it's easy enough to make the switch. Even though I really hated that porta john they bring in. Boy that was cold Image

I'm sure this wouldn't work for a backup since this is on the opposite side of the state, but we were really impressed with Lieber State Recreation Area out near Cloverdale. Nice, wooded area and all the various legs of the campground are nice & spread out. So far it's been our favorite. They had decent pit toilets out there...if a pit toilet has the ability of being "decent".

If it's at all reasonable, we may head out there New Year's weekend, but the early long range forecast looks a little chilly that weekend.

Some Lieber Pics

If Mega-Mini #7 is complete (including heater!) I plan on attending. Nancy does not like cold weather so is not likely to.
