pot luck dinner

Postby clarkbar46 » Sun Sep 05, 2010 6:04 pm

Hello, Dave and I will bring a broccoli/cauliflower/lettuce and etc salad plus some kind of dessert. Our kids and grandkids want to stop by to visit and may come to the potluck...they all want to check out all the TDS and campers that we have told them about. They will also bring some kind of food....not sure what yet. Hope it is okay to add some civilians to the dinner.

18 days to go - Who's bring what to the Pot Luck?

Kurt - slow cooked roast, potatoes, onions
Rick & Leona - Brats and Cheese Grillers
Bob & Vickie - Stew-Chili-or whatever
Dave & Barb - broccoli/cauliflower/lettuce and etc salad plus some kind of dessert
Jim & Sharon - vegetable salad or fresh veggies plus a fresh fruit salad

Option for those who are too full from going to Triple XXX. - just come and enjoy the desserts.

I hope someone brings desserts

I will probably do both.

Is anyone up for a 50/50 drawing??

If so, I'll need to get some "tickets".
I think I can get a roll at Walmart.

Little downer news I called the Triple XXX restaurant and thought I would warn them on our arrival and found out that the restaurant only seats 47 people and she said that that is a game weekend and that seating will be next to impossible. Image
They are open 24-7

Sounds like a 3 am Triple xxx munchie raid !

That bit of news explaines why the campgrounds is filling up so fast. I am willing to bet a bunch of the civilians are fans going to the big game.

If you are setting on the fence or planning a walk in, you had better rethink and seriously consider getting a reservation NOW !

We can't stop at 16! We will miss ya if you are not there

Here is your reservation link

The other loop is still available it's a few bucks more but you are worth it.

UPDATE ~~~~~

OOPS ! Never mind it's full~ full ~ full !

Holy stromboli that is wild.

There are 2 mystery sites if you notice ( 227 & 251) in our loop. You may be able to contact the park directly and see if they will gratiously allow you one of them to be with the group. I am sure these are hold outs for just such a reason.

OK

I have contacted the park and hope to find out if they will allow us to double up due to the unusual circumstances. Lets cross our fingers and wait and see.

Hello everyone,

We are from Mooresville, In. and will be bring our teardrop for the first time to the gathering. Just need to get a license plate for it and should be good to bring it. I have not yet completed the kitchen but should not be a camping problem for us. I need a few pointers on how to do a few things anyway. We will be at sites #230 and our friends Joe and Anita who also built a teardrop this summer will be at #228. I plan on cooking cowboy beans in cast iron and Joe and Anita will be bring a dessert. By the way Anita makes great cookies. I guess I need to finish the trailer wiring now.

Glad you will be able to join us. I am sure you will have an enjoyable time and will get lots of help from the other TDers.
Our maiden trip was the summer gathering and we really enjoyed meeting all the others. Everyone was very helpful and fun to be around. Welcome to the world of TDs. :applause:
