So I haven't left you and things are starting to settle down around here so it's time to start getting ready for Aug. I've got a couple major changes planned. A sun roof and a floor level A/C cabinet on the front so I don't have to use my shelf space and front window for that.

Was that people watching or bikini watching? Come on fess up! We know what those binoculars were focused on. I did the same in Daytona 2 weeks ago. 8)

Hope you did not come home to find your house flooded. From what I've seen your part of the state is in a mess. I hope no one else has been hurt by the recent storms.

We're high but not real dry in Linden. Makes the grass grow like crazy and gasoline is so high I may need to get a goat.

Announcement

The date for the Salamonie gathering is set for Oct. 10-11.

I have secured site #222 for the sake of the view, but the inside of the circle would be great for the gathering group.

Check the map attached for sites and reservations.

Reservations (at this point) should not be a problem, but don't wait too long into the summer.

Well isn't that the same thing while your at the beach

Didn't come home to a mess thankfully, but I had to bush hog my yard.
My back yard still has deep grass where water is standing.

Oh I'm quit sure she did, but I never got hit. The trick is to not focus in one place to long.

I think what I was watching is the water. We say a couple schools of sting ray's just off the shore probably about 15ish. I didn't realize they came that close to shore. From the 18th floor we could see them clearly but the people on the ground didn't see them for a bit. When they did you could start seeing them migrate out of the water.

Sting rays will not normally bother people but they come in very close to shore and bury themselves in the sand. When you walk in the water you need to schuffle your feet. If you shuffle into one they will simply move off and not bother you. If you step on the back of one you may not like the resulting reaction.

Anybody awake out there ?

Almost a week and no chatter on this thread. Would it help to remind everyone it's 53 days until Madison.

I guess my entire family is mobilizing to come and stare at the tiny trailers. Aunts ,uncles, cousins, and my mom is even coming from Kentucky thanks to an aunt and uncle rescuing her. Looking forward to seeing you all again ( or for the 1st time )

Kurt do you have an updated list of who all is signed up.

If you are still thinkin' better quit thinkin' and get off your backside and get signed up . Like Kurt said only about 20 spaces left.

Hi Bob, I'm awake.

I purchased my wrist band (admission) for the Ribberfest (Blues, BBQ and Balloons) event for the gathering.

Anyone wishing to buy the wristband online can go to Madison Ribberfest . This optional for those who wish to attend the event.

Can we assume they will also be available " at the door " so we can decide when we arrive.

Last count was 13 how many reservations are now confirmed ?

Bob, they are available at the gate. The advantage to buying them early is that you get $10 worth of food and/or drink tickets.

BTW, my last count was (13) (committed), however there are a couple more that are interested but have not committed
