Rather nice thunderstorm here at the CRA last night....well, for what I stayed awake for. Looks like more storms this afternoon, or at least a 50% chance of them anyway.

I ordered this little sprinkle for early this week to settle the dust. I am bringing my rain gear, having it on board always keeps the rain away .

Bob,

Thanks...but no more please... ;)

We had around 3" maybe more? flooding was pretty heavy, poor folks in #7-8 had 18" of water inside their tents!
Then the storm last night dropped another inch.
The waterfalls are running nice!
Bugs are light, and the park people are all talking about the teardops that are coming.

It will be another great get together.
Anyone that has extra straw...might bring some along as the grounds are a bit damp.

Rob

I told ya all last December to be careful of those two sites
ยป Tue Dec 18, 2012 8:56 am

just an FYI Sites 8 and 9 are big and beautiful with lots of elbow room HOWEVER.....

Yep there is always a however...

They set a good 2+ feet below the road and the drainage is right down the cross road into these 2 sights.

In case of rain you will need hip waders.

I loved the site in 2012 but I did just get lucky and no rain.

P.S. Just talked to Mary C and she is now real glad she moved from site #9 to #120 !

Bob and Mary C,

I was off with my site numbers, it was 8 and 9.
9 was the worst of the two.
We took some pictures, but I don't know how to upload them from the I pad.

Anyway, good choice Mary!

Well Mary C is bucking for the hard luck award. She made it 14 miles from home and had a flat. Needed a new tire!

Weather update per scuba Jeff.......

Better batten down the popups and get ready for some heavy weather. Heavy thunderstorms headed your way then it's clear sailing for the rest of the gathering.

Debbie Hanson here again to remind everyone of the book fair going on at electric site 62. I'll have a display of Usborne Books & More for you to see, then order. I will also be taking book and cuddle bear donations to be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital. I will include names of all donors with the package. Usborne books are used by hundreds of schools, preschools, libraries, homeschoolers, and in homes across the country, and we have over 1600 titles from which to choose! Please stop by to see us at our new 'Hula Hut', on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday! Thank you so much!

By the way, if you want to make up a wish list, go to my website at www.myubam.com/V3160. Our gathering is a listed event there. You can order online, right away, if you wish! I need to handle donations at my end so they will all go to St. Jude together. Thanks!

this one just grabbed my puppies' food bowl and ran. I was sitting less than 10' away. Luckily it dropped it when i started chasing it. I can it still munching on the spilled kibble in the brush.
