I was thinking that right after I posted. The Vodka side always has a tendency to "lift" a little in the wind. :o

What?....Nothing in October or November? Until I have secured a TD, can tenters attend?
best, Tim

Hell wife and I went to our 1st one without a tent even. Drove thru on the bike and visited around a bit. That's where we first met several of the Hoosier chapter folk .

There is the Salamonie gathering in October when it hopefully cools off a bit.

The Deepest spot in Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes is 1,333 feet or about 222 fathoms. This profound depth could easily contain the entire 1,250' Empire State Building, even with a 50-foot-tall King Kong perched atop.

Pottercounty, as Scott mentioned, the Salamonie gathering can have tents. The Madison campground only allows "trailers". The teardrops fit the park rules and are allowed in.

This doesn't mean you can attend the Madison festivities, it just means the park doesn't allow tents.

Hopefully we'll see you at Salamonie Lake in October, for sure.

I have the word I am going to have an unofficial family reunion there in Madison. I have heard from aunts , uncles and cousins I haven't seen for several years. My aunt is going to Kentucky and bringing my mother up for the festival. I am sure they will all be wanting to see our "toy " trailers and say hi. I have a sneaking feeling it is gonna be hot as hell. I am going to retro the wood stove neich so it will contain a a/c unit. Gotta go to Wally world I guess ! The 5000 btu's units were $68.00 last week on sale so I probably missed out. Vickie has a bad hadit of overheating and passing out so I guess it's a necessity. ( She holds up better at Shivaree's)
To avoid the solar gain thru the lexan roof I purchased 2 reflective survival blankets at Sportsman's warehouse $1.99 each. I think if I cover the roof it will help keep things cooler. ( Might work for any dark colored trailers)

Countin ' the days

How hot can it get

Last year when I went to Madison in August, it was 105F in Louisville.

I'm sure glad I had A/C that weekend.

It sure saved on firewood.

Don't panic, it only happens once in a while (104F 1988). The average temperature is very bearable.

Just contacted the Madison Courier and sent a few pics from Brown County Gathering.

Also rattled Across Indiana's cage again. I want to see us on TV.

Hope to hear from someone there in the next few days.

Oh well there is Salamonie for my next try !!!!
