WoW!!! :applause: twenty site so far. Great job so far. Wish I could be camping with you guys, but my daughter is getting married that weekend.

Galen...just tell your daughter "there are priorities" then go camping. She'll understand. Well maybe not :DOH2:

Jim, Galen is an avid teardropper. He runs the Buckeye chapter of "Tearjerker's". He has his priorities, but , like me, no one else seems to agree with them.
The Tearjerker's gatherings in Ohio are fun too. Don't pass them up if you get a chance to go. :P Galen's (DO) fruit cobbler was mighty tasty last year. :beautiful:

Fruit cobbler! That sounds like would be right on top of my list. YUM! Maybe even as high up as beer! I know the feeling about other peoples priorities. My summer is booking up fast and it's still a long way away. Fortunately 2 weeks of it involves a trip to Yellowstone with the TD.

That makes it sound even closer. That could be a good or bad thing.
Means I've got a few late nights ahead of me to make the tear road legal.
But I'm so ready, I'm tired of this cold. And another 10" on the way.

"Teardropping, So easy a Caveman can do it."

My said to me "yeah, you have to be a caveman to do it". :? She sounds a little negative but she has come a long way since I built the TD.

There was a time when she wouldn't even discuss camping (in a tent). I'm making some progress.
We're up to 3 days maximum on teardrop trips. Although she will still be teaching when Turkey Run comes around, I sure she'll be thinking about us.

This will be a first for my wife. She has no interest in camping either, But I think the solid walls and roof helped to persuade her. And I just don't do the tent thing anymore either. I think she's looking forward to it, or just the getaway I don't know which. We haven't been away since the twins were born.

Scott, I'm positive she will have a good time. Starting out camping in the teardrop sheds a new light on the experience. The bad parts of camping are eliminated due to the fact that you are protected (in comfort) and are up off the wet ground if it should happen to rain (hush my mouth)

Regardless of the weather, we always have a good time relaxing with the teardrop. If the worst case scenerio should take place, I can always watch a movie of catch a good nap. I've done that before, but it is just different with the teardrop. So much more civilized.

I am really going for the throat - After Turkey Run, we are going to Lake of the Ozarks for 10 days in June. I will probably need a lawyer after that! :(

You are a brave man I don't think I could get the wife to spend 10 days in a small camper

You guys have to break em in early. When Cindi & I were first married, back in the old days of the early 70's, we started backpacking on the Appalachian Trail in New York. As My Cousin Vinny would say, we were "youts". We tent camped in Indiana when we moved here in 1975. But she put an end to it one time when we were in Friendship, IN during what can only be described as a rain event, and she was eight months pregnant. We had water running through our tent. After that I was forced into buying a pop-up. Now that the kids are grown and have moved on we get to move into a TD. Cindi's only concern now is claustrophobia being in a TD, I told her she can leave the door open. There is still something to be said though for sleeping under the stars with no roof to obstruct the view. What a sight to look at on a clear night.
