Was out of pocket in Tennessee for a week helping 2 of Vic's brothers move. Kinda of a working vacation. Built a Handicap ramp , did a little electrical rewiring and had to replumb some gas lines. Glad to know I was missed. I don't think the face in the fire is near as scarey as mine.

Good to be back missed you guys !

Bob, retirement is even more fun than I thought. So far, I'm staying within my budget and picking up some "outside" work that can be done at home and then emailed out. Two customers are in Saudi Arabia and one in India. Wierd :o

BTW, the book was very interesting. Coming from the "original source", the accounts of history are more enjoyable to read. Your Mom did a good job on the stories. It was fun to read. Say hello to her (from me).

Lets get back to gathering info!
How many are signed up for Salamonie?
Are we doing door prizes?
Kurt, I pm'd regarding ideas for the hand made quilt
Visited John Spratt the other day. He is doing better. May camp at Salamonie - in which case I told him we would pitch in to help with camper set-up. Or he may just make a day trip.
How about pitch-in menu? Pie-irons?
Are we decorating for Halloween?
3 weeks away folks!
We had "trick or treaters" come thru last year!

Way to keep us on track
Very true it's coming up fast.

We have no extras that I've heard yet.
Door prizes
It's a smaller one maybe on a smaller scale. The quilt is fantastic looking.
Pie Irons Saturday Night as usual I think. Any other thoughts? I plan on decorating a cake and bringing it along with whatever I cook.

I plan on putting up a few decorations yes and bringing some treats for the Trick or Treaters.

I also plan to bring a pumpkin to carve while I'm there.

I'm so ready I don't have anything to do but pack for this one. :dancing

Thoughts on the picture I posted for a button.

Not doing the hole T-Shirt thing this time around unless someone wants one or anything else the store has, in which case I'll get it set up. Doesn't take much.

Kurt,

If I remember correctly we did pie irons Friday night. Saturday I made ham & beans and we and about 10 others make corn bread. Remember we had more corn bread than we knew what to do with.

 I do believe you're right I've slept since then

We can do that, sounds like a plan Love Beans and corn bread. I'd be willing to do a D.O. of beans.

Bring along the raffle tckets so we can have a raffle for the quilt.

Here are the answers to the questions:

Pot Luck:

Pie irons (the theme went well last year so why not?) plus (on Friday night) Ham & bean Soup ( on Saturday night) and Potato salad. I'll bring the potato salad-who wants to bring the Ham & bean soup? Any other ideas are welcomed.

Halloween decorations:
Why not bring a pumpkin and have a "carving"? We can do this on Friday and have them ready (along with any other decorations) for Saturday (TorT night). Should be fun.
Might as well bring along some "treats" for the Halloweeners too.

Hope the temperature is a little cooler this year. I don't want to set any more "records"

I'll bring the other door prizes and we can decide whether to use them at this gathering or save them for later.

Great Dan, Thanks. I want to try some Italian or rye bread in the DO. Laura's cornbread will be my cover incase it flops.

My wife and I have been experimenting with different versions of grilled cheese and soups in preparation for a "Goumet night" with our dinner group. The bread (Italian) might be a good addition to the grilled cheese night.

Thanks, :applause:
