Hello,This is KT from upstate NY. I just joined and am interested in either purchasing a shell-kit or doing a rebuild using the trailer of an old Jayco popup .I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm sure in for a challenge. I'm thinking of a traditional teardrop design with an added extention so that I could have room for a mini bunk in back or storage room. When I camp on my own my hub insists I take my African Mastif Bud who is 125 lbs. I gave up sleeping with him even in a queen as he snores and nightmares -well, that's when he needs the muzzle the most.
Do any of you camp the National Forest areas or DEC campgrounds. Also have any of you Northeasters been to Sumerset Reservour and fished annd camped up there. It is a beautiful place though good to go in a group at the camping area.
Well if anyone can give me info on buying, building or renovating a teardrop..many thanks in advance. KT

Hi KT,
There will be approximately 100 of us at Fish Creek Pond (DEC) June 10-13th (north of Tupper Lake). Lots of campers with teardrops and other small trailers. Some manufacturered, many handcrafted. Lots of folks with experience! Check it out at:
