OMG Mary! Please... STOP!!! You're making me drool!!! :R When I read an earlier post about your soup it sounded wonderful. The croutons must really give it that special something. I can't wait to taste it.
Oh and Becky...I've never had chicken chili. It sounds really good as well! You should definitely show off your award.
It's sounding like we're gonna have some good eats this weekend!

As far as hats go, talk about pot calling the kettle  -what's on your head

Ed's backup hat!

Actually I don't even know what the story was behind those hats. I just remember have one put on my head. Maybe they were Rick's for all I know, and he had them stashed in his Metzendorf. Are they some sort of New Yorker Tailgating party prerequisite? I'm going to bring my own 'normal' hat this time around.

We are packing up tonight and will start or journey early tommorrow. Hoping to arrive at Moreau around noon if all goes well (and we don't get side tracked along the way).

Excuse me Dave, but nice try! I believe it was you and Kate who brought those Brokeback Mtn hats! And you and Ed disappeared for quite some time after putting them on!

Just asked Kate about those... apparently we had stopped at the dollar store to get 'tailgate' party stuff... supposedly we were representing the Ottawa 'rough riders'. Ed must have took the 'tailgating' and 'rough riding' seriously! :o

Yeah thats it! Ed stole that hat!

This year I'll bring one of my beer 'man' hats... think manly! 8)

PS. Those hats are supposedly in our basement!

I was just filling out my pre-registration for this weekend and while looking at some of the info on the campground I noticed this. I thought there might be folks that will want to be aware of this in case they didn't see it.

****Please note, most of the fire pits at the campground are NOT equipped with a cooking grill. If you would like to grill food over a campfire, please bring your own grill.****

Perhaps I missed some, but here are most of the menu ideas so far:

Pineapple Custard, Cookies, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Autumn Bisque Soup, Soup, Stew, chili, Baked Beans, Pasta, Baked Crab Dip, clam chowder, garden salad, hummus & red hot blues, chili & taco dip, white bean chicken chili.

Sounds like a hardy selection!

I'm thinking apple sauce, Italian apple crumb tart or something from the garden... or should I bring what's missing? Italian bread and warm cider for all?

You be the judge! Cast your vote now.

Don't forget, I'll be bringing the Hoffman hot dogs. Wouldn't be a tailgate party without some dogs cookin' on the grill!

Ray- I vote for the Italian bread and warm cider! Providing you make the bread and press the cider yourself, of course! :D
