Boy, talk about great timing... we missed all that fun...

On the way home, stopped in Keene Village Noon Mark Diner, suggested by Al and Leslie... I'm thinking Shirley and I had more fun than you... not a drop of rain on the way home, but the temps got up to over 90 and the air was really muggy. Oh, the apple pie we got at the Noon Diner is over 1/2 gone... just love apple pie.

It was a fun time. And a wonderful area to visit. We found 5 caches with our gps, so got to explore a bit of Saranac Lake village as well. Very nice to see everyone again.....

:Flippin Burger: Well we returned home, I have to say I had a great time. What a nice group of people you all are. Steve, it may interest you to know, it didn't rain till we were on our way out the gate once again. :icedtea: April & Mark thanks for the music and the smoked snacks ! Everyone that left early missed it, but hopefully we can hear them again next year. I plan on buying some CDs and will look for them coming to my area. A special thanks to Dave & Kate, you really out did yourselves again. But to all, We want to thank you for being a great bunch of people even though our teardrop has  well has grown a little bit ! Maybe someday we can come again in a teardrop, we sure do miss that little teardrop :miriams: Hope we can see you all in the fall. Not sure we can make it in August for labor day. We are going to 1000 islands and will be returning just prior to labor day. I may have to look at my priorities next year as work is getting in the way of camping !

Hey Tom,

Just paint a full sized teardrop & tow vehicle mural on both sides of your new rig,and no one will notice.LOL I think I speak for others ,that you are always welcome to teardrop events. Laura is a lucky girl to have Great parents that get her a nice bathroom for camping. Hope to see you again next year.

Fall TearDown the ADK Dates

Postby campadk » Wed Jun 21, 2006 11:13 am

Rick... Steve... anyone else in for the TearDown this fall. Rick and Steve suggested Nick Lake State Park in Old Forge.

Thoughts on Labour Day weekend, Sep 1-4/06 ??

Alternately Sept 8-10th?

Either way Kate and I will probably make it for 3-4 nights.

Hello all...

Well, neither of those weekends work for us, but neither does any weekend in September. Too bad for us :(

as for TearUp 2007 (I know it's a long way off), the sooner the dates get selected, we can block them off on our calender and try not to get booked for then.

It was great meeting those we were able to meet on the weekend. April and I had a great time and are looking forward to more "holidays".

Take care all,

April and Marc

Dave - I vote Sept 8-10. Schools back in session so easier to get sites together. Old Forge is nice that time of year. Definately rain or shine this year!
What do you think Steve?
How about you Ray and Debby?!!!

Hi April/Marc. Welcome back! Guess you survived that storm. How did your kitchen tent hold up while Doug's was flat as a pancake?

Dates for TearUp next year will be the same basically... June 14-18th, 2007.

Boy you were up early Kerry!! Lots of great morning shots of the campground and ponds.

Seems several of us took exactly the same shots too! Almost don't need to post mine

Thanks for sharing

we were in Lake Placid during the storm and came back to a wet, but upright dining tent. you can't knock a "Canadian Tire Woods" tent down :)

got the TU2007 dates down in our gig calendar and will do our best to stay away booking that weekend.

Here is a pic of our set-up next to the lake. what a beautiful spot.

We survived the rain Monday without getting drenched. We turned back from our bike ride just in time to return to the trailer as the rain started and weathered the storm in the trailer. We were probably protected by the mosquito trapping trees around our site.

We then drove to Saranac Lake to check for phone messages and discovered a minor family emergency. Our youngest (24+) had fallen and managed to mangle his knee. We quickly changed plans and drove home Tuesday as he was having some surgery. Our daughter (26+) came up from Columbus to handle the family emergency until we arrived. All appears well now as he came home today. So all is looking up except that we had to cancel our Lake Eaton and later Fish Creek reservations.

Dave and Kathy, sorry we won't see you next week. Our kayaking friends from Ohio still plan to camp on Site 169 June 24-30.

We did have a fantastic time for the 5 nights. We seem to have formed a really great group of people. Sorry we didn't get to talk much to the folks and the other end of our "tearup teardrop strip". Everyone seemed to always be out doing some of the great Adirondack activities - as were we. We will keep mid June open for next year.

Many thanks again to Dave & Kathy for the event and prizes for the fun and this year "GAMES". Really liked that.

For the teardown, that is still a :QM for us. The answer will come at a later date. The TEARUP next year will be full speed ahead and looking forward to it.

Getting the recipe together from Darla. Would you like 05 also? If people can remember what the made?

Old and new people=lots of fun
Thanks
