Finally got you on Coop... I guessed your CTear is a 5x10ft so thats what I put down.. let me know if I have anything wrong.

How about a photo/mug shot of those who are missing a photo on the participants list? Good way to know who is who before you get there.

Did anyone else slip thru the cracks on the list?

Glad you two can make it Ray!

Well we now have 50 people booked! Truly amazing how this event has grown in just a few short years.

Should be a blast!

Will be posting info on this years 'contest' tommorrow.

Maybe 52,Dave. Kinda sitting on the fence with this one. Dennis & Darla were kind enough to let us share their site if we come. Girlfriends work schedule and my limited spare funds may make that decision for me. My Camp Inn was sold headed to Missouri today,so we will tent camp this one. Here's hoping we can make it.

TearUp Vintage Night

Postby campadk » Sun Mar 23, 2008 11:22 am

Ok... finally getting around to post about this years 'highlite', which will be a fun competition.

This year on Saturday night (which is also potluck night) we will be featuring a Vintage Theme.

This is of course optional, but if you decide to join in, all you need to do is reach into your drawers
(dresser drawers that is) and pull out some of your old vintage clothing! Don't have any? No problem...
head to your grandma's closet, thrift shop or sew your own (deals on ebay as well).

Here is a collage of inspirational photos Kate has kindly put together...

Image

PS. Don't forget embroidered hankies for ladies, and big white square hankerchiefs for the men.

We will have some fun great prizes! This will be a secret ballot vote for the following categories:

1. Most classic vintage man
2. Most classic vintage lady
3. Overall most classic vintage couple
4. Most over the top vintage lady or man
5. Draw prize (best prize) for all vintage participants

If you would like to donate a prize, that would be great too! Let me know.

As a sample, here is Kate who modelled a few items, such as a vintage apon and hair bow thingie
to give you an idea.
(note the vaccum is just an extra prop! LOL... mind you, you could get a few extra points for bringing
a vacuum to the TearUp!)

We'll also have some 'vintage' must from the 1940's and 1950's to help inspire everyone.

Looks like fun Dave, Diane and I will have to go for a late 50's early 60's look so we will be in sync with the Metzendorf!

Yah Dennis... you and Darla are ahead of the game after watching The Long Long Trailer at the TearUp last year.

Maybe we need a Lucy lookalike contest?

Just added Chuck and Barb to the list. Glad to have them back again this year!

Lots of new campers for this year too.. might just have to bring back the 'lovers knot' game again for a few laughs
