Those talk about the extreme weather are overrated. By noon its been pretty nice and skiing is quite enjoyable. Had a fun day at Paul Smiths just north of Fish Creek today.

Another reminder that poor Kate has only receives 3 recipes for the TearUp Cookbook she was hoping to get printed up for the years TearUp. So shes 'starvin' for your recipes! Worst case, we may have to corner the cooks at the TearUp this year and make the book for next year...

You can email your recipes to kate at [email protected] or just [email protected]

PS. Remind me to take a group photo this year at the TearUp.. how did I forget that last year!?

TearUp Visitors Map

Postby campadk » Thu Feb 12, 2009 4:19 pm

Think I have every state/province represented at the current/previous TearUp on this map... if not, let me know!

But I would have thought we had someone from Maryland, or West Virginia at some time...

Not bad though... representation for 34% of all states! And just think... it started with just us, Steve and Phyllis, and Norm and Jeanne I believe it was... back in 2005... man my memory is sooo bad!

Going to be hard to get campers from Alaska and BC to come this way I bet!

Hey Dave, I too had to look way back in the posts to find how this all started... Look back at your post of June 02/2004...this is where Jeanne & I met you and Kate for the 1st time at FCP. btw we were at oposite ends of the parkl :R
I guess the Spring TearUp of 2005 is where it really started to happen; there were, by my count, 14 trailers that showed up for the "First" TearUp.
I have most of the names for that 2005 TearUp. Should we make an archive of the attendees for each year since the begining?
I also see that Jon & Sherry are selling their NH Stripper and going full time. They just posted the teardrop for sale.

I can proudly say that Diane and I have attended all four of the "official" TearUps since 2005. How many have been to all of them? I can think of six couples right off the top. We are going to have to appoint a historian to keep track of all this vital information!

Well Rick, not sure if you know it, but I am an electronic pack rat! I have emails going back to 1995 when the Internet was in its early days, and copies of everything from that day on, including various backups of all my websites etc etc. I don't even throw out photo rejects!

So I do have the participants lists going back to 2005

http://tearuptheadk.com/participants2005.html
http://tearuptheadk.com/participants2006.html
http://tearuptheadk.com/participants2007.html
http://tearuptheadk.com/participants2008.html

So lets see... yes Norm, we met you and Jeanne I guess in 2004. Think that is when we must have met Steve Fredricks. Did we do a fall get-together in 2003 then with Steve?

Maybe Steve can shed some light...

Norm I just noticed today that Jon and Sherry had their stripper up for sale. They are going full time as campers? Nice! Haven't heard from them in a good 3 years!

Another historical questions would be who brought the most selections of trailers to the TearUp? Easy one... gotta be Steve!

Kurt you picked up a blank card!

There is the back of that one...

PS. I'll be adding TearUp background images to the Fish Creek background page... see http://fishcreekpond.com/campersforum/d ... rounds.php

(this first one is already there on the 1920x1200 page)

Hey Bob,

This was one of the better ones of your trailer.. not much of a peak of the truck though...

Then there were the famous 'cook' shots from the old album...

Tadpole Trailers!

Postby campadk » Wed Feb 25, 2009 10:40 pm

Missed Terry and Sylvia from Tadpole Trailers at the Ottawa RV show (they'll be at the TearUp)... but alas we did get to check out their tear at the show.

Check it out... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUkCU0xH ... annel_page (available in HD by clicking on the 'Watch in HD' link under the video).

Suzanne from Ottawa Camping did a great job!

You tear was the first trailer you saw when you entered this particular building... great placement!

Sorry we missed you guys!

PS. Thanks for the tadpole flyswatter!
