We are heading over to FCP this afternoon. The weather here has steadily improved and is looking pretty good for the upcoming week.

The weekend in the high peaks was beautiful, and the ADK campground was 2/3 full of hikers.

Hey Rick.
I just got the Metz about done... Will probably bring it up..
Can you have your sign guy make a Metz sticker for the front, I will pay ya if you can bring it up.

Also Does 81 go up to route 3?

Thanks
Greg

Greg- Unfortunately the guy who did my decal is no longer there. Drove past last week and his storefront was empty. Must be the economy got him. And yes 81 will bring you to 3

decal

Postby mary and bob » Sun Jun 07, 2009 3:41 pm

I have been to 3 diffrent people that were supposed to make us a modernistic decal like on our teardrop but so far no-one has come through with one, something about getting the lettering right or whatever, someone sent us one that looks pretty good so will probably put it on the front and just leave the original where it is, hard to read it buts it original so dont want to sand it off, we have the kyaks in the truck, the bikes in ther also, the bed made in the teardrop and we have a new camping sign that tim made us for this year, he did a great job and even put both a teardrop and a pop-up on it becuase we have both, I was very impressed and cant wait to show it off. see you all thursday

Greg, on my last two trips to FCP I came up #81 and went past Watertown to the next exit - just past the golf course (rt #342). It by-passes down town Watertown and is a good road all the way back to Rt #3 at Black River.
I have found it to be a lot less stressful than the route thru town.

Kurt, when you get on rt 3, take a left on to rt 3a and it will bypass going thru Carthage and it will drop you right back on rt 3 again.

Thanks Rick, I think I must have done that before. I don't remember Carthage.

I'll make sure this time. That's a good short cut.

TearUp Getting Close!

Postby campadk » Mon Jun 08, 2009 9:25 am

Only a few days away to the TearUp. We even have some campers who will be arriving tomorrow! The weather is looking
decent with some showers expected, but no long term rain. Highs will be in the low to mid 70's. Saturday and Sunday are
looking especially good. Once again the Gods are not going to TearUp the skies above us. We have indeed been very lucky
most years as far as rain goes!

Still adding a few last minute sign ups too!

I'll be printing a welcome package for everyone, including a list of participants, campground map, area activities and
suggested things to do as well as kayak/canoe rental info for those who wish to join in with others on a paddle up
Fish Creek or Floodwood.

Here is an updated map of the area we are camping in, along with the location of the gates and shower...
