I'm definitely going to be hitting the ADK Museum gift shop! May even have to tour the museum again - Nessmuk is my hero and the Sairy Gamp still amazes me!

campadk wrote:Hey no entrance fee! Is that possible? NJ here I come!

Your mileage may vary - some do and some don't, though the camping fees are a couple bucks less than NY. I've stayed at both Voorhees and Parvin SPs in NJ - both are very nice, though nothing like the ADKs. Just don't be dismayed by northern NJ, especially if you have to pass anywhere near Jersey City or Newark - both are dumps that have me half-convinced that the Borg have landed and are busy assimilating us. But the rest of NJ truly lives up to its name the Garden State.

Both the ADK Museum and the gift shop are fantastic. We bought quite a few times there, several of which we use for our teardrop.

RA is wonderful.. when its working correctly. I know last year a lot of people where complaining about mixups etc with the whole reservation process. I ensure that I print out the confirmation, and will check back prior to June to ensure its still correct.

Hey I see that site 200 is now gone? Did anyone book that one?

Sites 187, 188, 189, 190, 191,192, 201, 202, 203, 204, 205 are still available.

Yep - I did. It's buried in the post where I said I'm coming.

Hello,

I talked to Cary From Camp Inn on an e-mail,and he said if we get some good pictures of the nestmates, he will certainly put them on their web site.

Dave, you have us listed as staying the 16th -20th ,as much as we would like to, in reality it's only the 16th - 19th. We hope to arrive around noon on the 16th,and depart after breakfast on the 19th.

BTW, pateardropper consists of Bill age 54,and Joan age 51 ,but we answer to both.

We are really looking forward to meeting all the tear owners, and checking out everyones little trailers. Oh,we won't ask the question,"Where's the bathroom"?

Just a quick thank you to Dave and Kate for setting this up. The website is a really nice extra touch which hopefully will keep us anxious (in a positive way) all winter.

Are 4 pages of posts in three days a forum record by any chance?

Hi Dave,
Any interest to maybe have a pot-luck dinner on Friday or Saturday night?

Actually all the sites are about equal distance apart. They are basically all along the shore around the 3 ponds. Our area has about the largest sites, but your still close enough to your neighbour to shout over to ask for corkscrew or what not. Sites 164 all the way to about 250 are lined up one after another without any major buffer between them

Here is a view looking east from site 185...

Sounds like a plan! We could wait and see if everyone is arriving Thursday (so far this is the case) versus Friday and pick a day. Maybe a poll is in order. Either is fine by us.

Norm did you get out much this fall? Did you disassemble and move your tear back to the basement?

Hi Dave,
We hope to leave Cornwall by mid afternoon on the 16th and be at camp by 6:00?
Not enough camping done before putting our tear away for the winter.
It is nestled in my 12'x12' shed, Nice and dry. :D

Are pictures available of each site?

I have just used Res.Amer. to make reservations for camping at Lake George for the rally. The one in town is full, but I found one just outside of town that looks pretty good and res. for 3 days..... If anyone like motorcycle stuff, this is quite a gathering. the bikes take over the town for the week, by shear numbers (not in any negative way; they love us.. and our $$).... so, thanks again for this great resource....

Does anyone know how far in advance res. can be made. Next year, i'd like to get into the in-town (battleground) camp sites.

Thanks for the pictures of our site, Dave.

Our 11+ foot trailer will look miniscule there. Leslie really likes the beach because getting in her kayak in deep water from a log, rock, or whatever is not her favorite part of the sport.

Now I have even more reason to be anxious. Not sure if the countdown on the website helps, but it is a fun way to mark the time passing.

Pot luck on Friday or Sat or whenever is fine with us. We will probably arrive Thur afternoon or evening depending if we make the trip in one or two days.
