Ok... trying to piece together the latest signups....

Which trailer are you bringing Norm? The Refer (ok not sure if that is the official name or what).

See the start of this thread for an updated list of campers. Also check http://tearuptheadk.com/participants.html to ensure I have you site#, dates etc correct.

Still not sure who has booked sites: 226, 227 and 246.

If you are a member of the Fish Creek Campers Forum (or want to register), visit http://fishcreekpond.com/campersforum/c ... ?year=2009 to add your dates etc to the Campers Calendar. Check it out.

Cheers!

There are lots of sites open, even below 224. In order to keep the group together without too many 'holes', it will mean that campers should book in the fall rather than waiting until winter to book as Fish Creek. Remember there were still lots of vacancies in the 180-200's last year.

Banners this year? Don't worry, we are going to be making one, maybe 2 items... its on the todo list for this winter... along with our camp sign!

Hey Dave, Oooops - you have us listed as site #222 but we are actually on Site #227 ( three down from the one and only Jawbone) and our accomodation is a Genuine Tadpole Trailer!!

It is the right weekend (no dog shows, no treatments, no can't-miss family gatherings!) Fingers crossed, I should be healthy again.
I can book a site as soon as I cross my Oct. 13 doc visit off the list.

Just a quick question for the group--I will be bringing my two english cockers (just cockers to the the Canadians). Both are trained, happy quiet campers who like people, kids, the water and food (not necessarily in that order...)
If folks would prefer that the dogs be at the edges of the group, I'll book something from 218-223. Otherwise, I'll fill in one of the 22x holes--eiither 225 or 228). Just let me know.

I've been practicing with my double pie iron...

Kerry, reserve now and cancel later if you need to. It will only cost $9.00 max. (I think)

I have no idea about next year, but, I figure, the worst that can happen if by chance I can't make it, I lose 9 dollars in fees... no big deal.

My expectation is I will be there. If not, the 9 dollars is just 'travel insurance'.

I also find out that if I don't plan ahead, I tend to do less fun things. I know people who have already planned European trips for next year. Most do it to get discounts... and take travel insurance out. Kind of a break even thing that way.

I just booked site 223.
I am totally impressed that one could fly in.
Just how the dickens would I get the teardrop towed behind let's say a Cessna 172 or a Beaver for that matter.

The other major issue I'm gonna have is that if I tie a knot around my thumb so as not to forget my guitar. My thumb will have fallen off by June and I won't be able to play again. :?
Lots to think about over the winter

John, my wife says we'll share the black flys with you this year. Last year she was selfish and was bitten (probably) 50-75 times during the stay last year. Yeah, she'd be glad to share.

Anyone have good advise for not attracting Black flies such as soap, body wash, shampoo (or lack of it)?

We already know how to attract them
