Hi all,

We'll were finally ready to order the flags, and a bit short on time. Since we aren't buying volume, they will come in at $25 each... a bit more than we anticipated.

We have to place the order by Wed at the latest so please post here or send me a PM to indicate that you are still interested at $25.

Will be posting more updates in a day or too so be sure to check back here.

PS. It has been raining so much this spring in the Fish Creek area, that we are bound to have FANTASTIC weather just in time for the TearUp!

We would like a flag too!

I'll make Dutch Oven Lasagna for the pot luck. I'll use both of my 10" ovens.

Dennis & Darla are in for the flag. Put us down for one (1). As far as the dish, we need a couple more days to think about it??? It will be made in a Dutch Oven.
Just got back from the Spring Fling in N.C. so we got to un-pack and clean up.

ADK Spring TearUp Pop Luck Agenda

Postby campadk » Tue May 23, 2006 2:00 pm

I'll post the TearUp Agenda on the TearUp website shortly.. but for now here it is...

Tear Up Agenda 2006

Saturday Night Pot Luck

Last year’s pot luck dinner was a great success!
Saturday (17th) we’ll gather the picnic tables once again for “The Feast”
Again, this year we ask you to post your food item so everyone can see the overall menu in order to plan what they’d like to contribute.

Competition

Get out your thinking caps, glue guns, hammers, nails and paint brushes.
The judged competition this year is “Camp Sign”
Secret voting will be awarding prizes for the following categories:
Peoples Choice
Most Imaginative
Most Humorous

Tear Up Olympics

Saturday we’ll be having Tear Up Olympic Games for those who want to participate.
You will be able to complete as an individual and team player to gather points for your campsite.
Points will be tabulated and prizes awarded at the Pot Luck Dinner.

Prize Draw

At the conclusion of the Pot Luck Award Night we will have a draw (campsite numbers) for “The Grand Prize”

Camp Flags

Last year campers purchased Tshirts with the 2005 logo. You may not remember them because they weren’t too visible under all our raincoats!
This year we are arranging to print campsite flags. They are reusable for our annual get together (no date) . Size: 12”x18”, price $25.

Donations

Similar to last year, we have some great fun prizes for the events and draw.

Pot Luck Menu (So Far)

TomS - dutch oven lasagna
Rick and Diane - potato salad
Bill & Joan - picked eggs amish Shoo Fly pie for desert
Cleave - venison appetizers
Al & Leslie - Carribean ham casserole
Dennis & Darla - corn casserole
Dave & Kate - {still thinging about it}

Sign us up for a flag.

Will make Carribean ham casserole for the pot luck - will use the dutch oven also.

Looking forward to the Tearup again.

Also, if anyone is interested we made reservations to camp at Lake Eaton (site 41) near Long lake Tue-Sat after the Tearup and then return to site 168 at Fish Creek until the Sat morning of the holiday weekend. Just getting in our Adirondack paddling mileage in for the drive up from Ohio. We had some fun with Joseph and Sarah last year extending the Tearup at Golden Beach CG on Raquette Lake.

Darla just let me know. Her famous "CORN CASSEROLE" in her dutch oven. :ok:
The events sound interesting. Looking forward to it.

Some kind of side-dish, in the D/O. Folks seemed to like the baked beans last year ??

Hey Steve,

Any kind of food will do. At gatherings like these ,you bring it we will eat it. I do canoe & kayak gatherings ,and we always have a pot luck. Everyone there always brings what they think is to much, but they never take any home. Food at camp gatherings always tastes good, and most recipes go home with other people. Fun way to try different meals. See Ya there.

Dave & Kate,

Can you recommend a good grocery store near Fish Creek Pond CG where we can pick up the ingredients for our DO Lasagna and other essentials? We're staying there all week and want to pick up our ingredients as close to the pot luck as possible so they are fresh.
