Miranda and I, and Desa the dachshund, will be there.
We've booked site 192 for three nights starting on June 17th.
We're coming from Toronto with our teardrop, a 5 x 10 we built last summer.
We'll bring our kayaks: a cedar strip and a skin-on-frame that we built the previous summer.
Next summer we're not building anything.
Looking forward to meeting a few fellow teardroppers!

Joseph,
About Tearjerkers/Pocono, Yes they do allow dogs but there are only four sites in they area that we camp. 209, 211, 216, & 220. They fill up quick so you better check it out. We were going to bring our Chudleigh but decided not to. I'll probably make my reservations this week.

Great Shil! Glad you and Miranda can make it! Only 205 days to go

I'm amazed that there are so many Kayakers in this crowd. Seem tears and kayaks go hand in hand (or behind the car / on the car).

Thanks Dennis - I already have site 209 reserved. Tried for 211 but it was already taken - I hope by one of ours but nobody's rogering up for it yet.

Well I didn't think she wanted to camp two weekends in a row but she does. Just made reservations for the ADK Tearup. We have site 201. See you all there.

Hi Joseph,

I gather at traditional gatherings there are prizes for best tear, best galley setup etc. Kate and I thought we'd base prizes on some other 'fun criteria', especially since this is a small group. I can't tell you what the criteria is unfortunately! 8-[

Other categories I've seen are Longest Distance Travelled and Best BS-er.

A question for Kate. What are the shower facilities like at Fish Creek. Is there lines to wait for showers?

Hmmm... are you suggesting I never shower Gail? LOL

Kate is busy duct taping some speaker cable so I'll answer for her...

Never seen a line for the showers. There are 30 on the womens side, 30 on the mens. Worst I've seen is about 75% in use, but that is in prime season (July/August). When we are there in June I would expect the campground is only about 1/2 full I would guestmate ,since school isn't out yet.

Oh yah.. better start packing, only 193 days to go!
