We will be right next to you on 220. Love early morning coffee and will make sure there is a little something to go along with it. See you there.

Sounds good, glad to have at least one early morning riser nearby! Gail thinks we have a camp coffee pot, but we have to move our deck furniture out to get to the camping gear. Winter doesn't seem to want to quit!

Yep, see ya there.

Hey Tom and Carol,

We'll be in on Tuesday with our kayaks. We're on site 232.

Look forward to meeting you, as you were an inspiration on our first teardrop build... a 4x8 Cubby back in 2005. Spent a lot of time on your web site looking at your pictures, especially the trailer mod, great job. We have since built two more teardrops.. a benroy profile and a modernistic profile.

We do remember you folks from almost two years ago. Remember you getting jerked all around about where you could camp after the race - racing sites or other. You ended up on about Site #50?

We plan to be there starting Sun June 5. We try to paddle every day.

Welcome to the Tearup!

Yep, that was us. We had a couple of friends with us that got REALLY interested in teardrops. They even invested in a frame and were starting a build when Richard (the husband) was diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, he passed just prior to Christmas this year.

It'll be good to be up there again without rushing around with the race.

Just wanted to post a quick note....we will be doing the food drive again...I will post more about it in the future but stick a can of tuna or a box of pasta aside & have it with you for the Tear Up!!! You will be glad you did!!!

Becky

PS-it seems that we have had a few people last year who were not aware of it so I may post an update on here every so often, in case people don't go back & read older pages...I know Dave keeps everyone informed 8)

As some of you may already be aware of, we have done a food drive the past 2 years, 2009 & 2010. We started it as a way to give back something to the local community in an area that we all love & enjoy spending time in. The food pantry that we donate to is located in Lake Placid, in the basement of St Agnes Church. It is not affiliated with the church, they just use the space. They cover a very large area & they have seen more & more need over the past few years. We are very impressed by this food pantry & by the people who run it, they are lovely & caring & thankful!! We have donated quite a bit of food & some money the past 2 years.

All we ask is when you are packing up to come camping or if you run to the store while you are camping...pick up a can of tuna or a box of pasta or some other non-perishable food items or personal care products. Some people have given us one item others have given us boxes full....every little bit helps...

Please, one request....We cannot accept the food items at our campsite until Saturday morning, we will not have a spot to store the food. You can either walk it over to us & make sure you introduce yourselves or we will make a quick drive through before we head to Lake Placid....last year we filled the back of John & Clare's Escape!!! Our site is 236

As a little incentive.....Mary(of Bob & Mary) is a very talented quilter & she has donated a quilt the past 2 years & everyone who donates gets their site number placed in a drawing to win the quilt. One entry per site please, doesn't matter it you donate one item or 10 items, your site gets entered once....thanks for considering this & we hope to meet all of you new & old & Let's Fill The Truck!!!!

Some Items To Donate....to name a few

Pasta
Jars of Sauce
Mac & Ch
Peanut Butter
Tuna
Baby Food
Coffee
Juice
Personal Care Items-soap, toothpaste, etc

You need a small,VERY QUIET generator to recharge your battery. The hours that you are able to use them are restricted, so make sure to check with the campground. :)
